DESCRIPTION OF CHINESE QIGONG MASSAGE

WHAT IS CHINESE QIGONG MASSAGE? Chinese QiGong Massage is similar to other massage treatments except it incorporates healing energy techniques that are about 5000 years old.

Chi Massage works by clearing blockages from the meridians or energy channels of the various sense and vital organs.

Qi is “life force energy” The back runs from the base of the neck down to the coccyx, and to the sides of the body from the armpit to the waist.

The nerves from the neck vertebrae spread out to the arms, while the nerves in the lower portion of the spinal cord extend to the legs. The nerves from the middle section of the spine branch out to reach to the various internal organs.

The spine is the centre of the nervous system with nerves extending out to the brain, the limbs and the internal organs.

The spine is the centre of our Qi distribution system, and also of our ability to sense our surroundings. If the muscles around the spine remains tense, the Qi circulation and the functioning of the nerves can be affected in the whole body.

Massage ((An Mo) is one of the most common practises in Chinese Medicine and Qigong. It regulates the Qi (bioelectricity) and blood circulating in your body and returns them to their normal, healthy state.

Chinese QiGong Massage can maintain your health and it can even slow down the degeneration of your body that comes with age. In addition, certain massage techniques can help heal many common illnesses.

There are several categories of Chinese massage, including massage for general relaxation (Pu Tong An Mo), Push and Grab (Tui Na), Cavity Press (Dian Xue) and Extended Qi Healing (Wai)
