I think if you spent more time interacting with out gay people you might get a better opinion of them. When I was a young taxi driver I had a lot of passes made at me by closeted gay men and this really gave me a bad impression of them. Since that time I have had exposure to more upstanding members of the gay community and my opinions have evolved.
I have never known anyone personally that was gay, just one or 2 people that I knew or heard about. Now that I think about it more, there was another guy I used to know at work, not personally, but someone told was me he was gay. I found out it was true, because when I was at Walmart, one day, I saw him walking down an aisle pushing a shopping cart, and the same time he was walking inseparably, almost literally hand in hand with another guy, as if that other guy was a girl. It looked so pathetic and so unorthodoxed, that I almost started laughing out loud. I had to work hard to control myself from busting out. It was so hilarious looking.
I really think if people really have to marry someone of the same sex, it just means that they are lacking something mentally. It has to be some kind of mental illness. There are many kinds of mental illnesses. You have people that have addictions, people that are depressed, with thoughts of suicide, there are people that are always stealing things from others. Those are all mental illnesses. Why can't people accept the fact that being gay, is a mental illness, just like everything else. I'm not trying to make fun of them, but obviously there is something wrong with them. Is it possibly because they have problems dealing with people with the opposite sex? Or they just can't attract someone from the opposite sex? At this point we still don't know why this is happening, and the gay people themselves seem as if they don't want to tell us why, or just can't tell us why. It also seems people don't want to accept the fact that being gay could be a mental illness.
That being said, even though these people have problems dealing with or attracting their opposites, it still doesn't justify legalizing same sex marriage.
Then you also have a group of people that want to take advantage of our tax system. They claim that same sex marriage should be legal for the purpose of claiming tax deductions. Because married couples pay less tax than singles. That is just plain stupid, selfish, and arrogant.
Also I have never had guys make passes at me, and thank goodness no one has, because I would've told them to fuck off. Lol.
