A 65-year old masseuse was allegedly strangled to death by a man with three prior homicide charges in Quezon City.
In Bea Pinlac’s Sunday report on “24 Oras Weekend,” the 65-year-old victim went to a residential compound on the midnight of May 13 after the suspect hired her for a massage.
After some time, CCTV footage showed the suspect outside the compound pushing a kariton or cart, containing several garbage bags.
When the suspect returned to the compound, the cart was empty.
Garbage collectors found the victim’s body stuffed inside a trash bag the following day.
According to police, the suspect and the victim had an argument after the man allegedly was not satisfied with the massage service.
The cops added the suspect was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
Meanwhile, the victim’s sister said she could not believe that the first time she would see her sibling after seven years was at her funeral. She said she will pursue justice for her slain family member.
More than a week after the victim’s body was discovered, authorities managed to arrest the 47-year-old suspect who went into hiding in Biñan, Laguna.
The arresting team said the victim’s bag and drug paraphernalia were found in the suspect’s possession.
Authorities also confiscated the suspect's kariton, which seemed to be newly painted.
Investigation revealed that the suspect is currently facing homicide charges for allegedly killing a 61-year-old woman in Leyte in 2018 over an argument concerning a parcel of land.
It was also learned the suspect was previously detained in Muntinlupa City for allegedly killing two other people.
The suspect admitted the victim went inside his house but refused to give further details.
The police said the suspect told them that he was in shock and killed the victim out of anger.
