WARRANT EXECUTED AT RICHMOND HILL BAWDY HOUSE
On Friday, November 18, 2005, the York Regional Police Drugs and Vice Enforcement Bureau
executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a massage parlour located in the Town of Richmond Hill
and charged two women and a man with common bawdy house offences.
The warrant was executed at the Nagoya Health Spa, located at 10 East Wilmot Street, in the Town
of Richmond Hill, after a criminal investigation led officers to believe the establishment was operating
as an illegal front for prostitution.
CHARGED:




The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket, on
December 22, 2005.

Well, this isn't particularly an enormous surprise.

Come on, most of the places around East Wilmot (IT aside, of course) were offering all the way up to FS. They weren't massage parlours; they were, indeed, very thinly disguised bordellos.

There's no quibbling relevant about whether a hand job is an "act of prostitution;" they were offering way more than that.

It didn't make sense to head up to EBC once there was enough of a "bandwagon" down that road; eventually, the law was going to catch up with them, because the "Wild North" had gotten so, well, wild.

I have found it interesting that the law hasn't found places like the B-chain interesting; they evidently keep their noses clean enough, and keep things quiet, such that there hasn't been a problem. That certainly wasn't the case at EBC...

But I don't think those would be fronts. If brothels are legal, they don't have to pretend to be something else.

Why take the chance? There are many incall and outcall agencies and independants available in this city. Places like "Asian place" were allowed to exist for years but now times have changed. Why would you want to have fs with someone on a massage table and constantly worry about LE breaking down the door while you are doing the deed? Notice how the last couple of Region of York busts have included "found-ins"? The customers are NOT given warnings, they are being criminally charged.
