any idea to become a massage therpist?

ok i want to be a massage therpist in the future and i was wondering is there anything i need to do to become it?? and if you have any good colleges for massage Therapist for me in CA please do.

Most massage therapists start their own business. In CA you have to check with each city to see what how much schooling is required although that will be changing soon I think.

Sure anyone can get a job at places like Massage Envy where they pay you $15 an hour and you only get paid that when you have clients. You get paid minimum wage when you don't and you can only do about 25 clients at most a week because of the physical demands of the work so you really can't make much at a job unless you go out and create one that pays well for yourself.

The average age of massage therapists is 45 meaning that massage schools are really geared toward teaching older people who have more life experience. There is much more to massage than just rubbing people. There is a deep psychological process that often occurs with most massage so you have to know how to set boundaries and create a therapeutic relationship.
