Instead of all these threads that look the same, try putting some info in the subject line so people know what you're looking for. "Has anyone see so-and-so"

With her name in the Subject line, all those guys people like RMG likes to call lazy and use the icon for when people ask for more info, well they can actually do a search now.
If they tried the way OP is doing it, search will come up with no hits. But I guess it is too easy for him to call other people names

It was positive. Maybe go back and re-read.
If someone posts, "Anyone See...?" and you get some responses but there is no name mentioned, someone may have done a search but this thread will not come up as a hit so then people like RMG, who think they own the board just because they have been here two days longer than someone, bashes them for not searching when they very well might have. The positive part, I assume I have to spell it out, is suggesting the name of the lady in the suggest line. Then it will be easy for people responding or looking for the thread to find it as Bill said PLUS it will come up in a search. Sorry if my tone is not kissy-ass enough for y'all. Does not seem to be a problem when people like RMG is rude and obnoxious. Get sick of people like RMG who threaten to 'ignore people (as if I cared whether he reads my posts or not) but yet he keeps reading them. Hope the positivity meets your approval this time.

Perhaps it will improve when the GENERAL tone improves in the Edmonton section and the self-centredness, as evidenced in all the COVID threads, goes down and people start caring about society as a whole and cease with the comments like Chaos's, 'why should I care about other people'. Fine, don't, but also do not expect people to kiss your ass either. Or when 'people' can respond to disagreements with intellect instead of trying to start a fight in a dark alley. How barbaric. This is not a 16th Century Saloon here but you'd never know it when he posts lol. SO yeah, I see that crap but you want me to be kiss-ass? I feel so left out when there are so few not being an ass LOL.

Old, I was not questioning the need for clarity in the subject of a post, (adding the providers name) I am 100% for that.

I was more curious why you dragged your ongoing feud with RMG, and a bit of Chaos’s, into a post that clearly had nothing to do with them or you?
I’m in neither side here but it seems odd.

Rook, first, I do not have an ongoing fued, or in fact any feud with RMG. Seems he has one who is feuding and pretending to ignore (yet is always commenting on the ignored person's posts lol). Nor do I have a fued with Chaos but I DO have a problem with his comment about not wanting to worry about anyone else in that (and I reealy hate to bring it up) COVID thread.

IF there is a feud, it is with that Mcgarret guy and really, he is the one with the ongoing feud. For me to have a feud with him might imply that I care about anything regarding him, and I don't, not at all. I just find it childish that he is going on and on and on and on and on and on ... about how I once may have posted how I thought he was an owner because there was a time a few new guys joined and they were bashing what seemed like each others businesses and ladies I think around the time some guy claimed to be Mandy's BF. IT was crazy all the stuff being posted than and I certainly was NOT the only one who thought some of these guys were owners. I have also since apologized to Mcgarret in public here and admitted that he cannot be an owner. I did justify it (like it or not) be adding that I did not thing he had the 'requirements' to run a business.

Anyway it did have something to do with RMG (maybe indirectly if you prefer) because when someone posts asking for info RMG LOVE to use the old icon and all that does is discourage newcomers. Yes he may have been here longer than most but that does not makes him a better person but his attitude would certainly suggest he that he does think he is better and that he runs the board. SO be extension, the suggestion to add a name is to stand up to bullies like RMG. You see, I am not a self centred person and stand up for others too.

I agree that there is nothing wrong with suggesting people search before asking but at least make them feel welcome and suggest the search, to be helpful, not to make them feel bad about asking. All that will do is push them away from posting and remain lurkers.
