While details are scarce, the Battle Ground Police Department (BGPD) served a search warrant at Relax Health Spa, located at 909 W. Main Street, Suite 102, on Sept. 4, following reports of alleged prostitution occurring at the business, the City of Battle Ground stated in a news release Friday.
According to the release, through the course of the investigation, BGPD detectives were able to obtain a search warrant, which was served during the evening. Evidence was recovered during the search, and the investigation is continuing, according to the news release. As of Friday, Sept. 6, no further information was available.
Two workers from a nearby business, who wished to remain anonymous, said people at the massage business stuck to themselves.
“Well, I personally have never seen a female come out of there, but I do know that when they first opened, they did have some female customers, but I haven’t seen any coming and going,” a worker of a nearby business said.
Within the last year, however, the two workers recalled a vehicle crashed into the front doors of the massage business during what appeared to be a break-in.
“They did have an investigator looking into the business after it was hit by a pickup truck or some kind of a vehicle that rammed into the building,” one of the workers recalled.
They said, once the doors were replaced, a sign was applied to the doors saying the business cannot be used as a residence.
The Reflector will follow up on the story as more information becomes available.
