Becoming Registered in another state (Maryland)

Okay, I'm all finished with school, and am currently certified in Delaware, soon to be licensed. However, I live in Maryland and want to become, what I'm pretty sure in called a Registered Practitioner Tech (RMT). I recently called the Board of Chiropractors & Massage of Maryland with a few questions, they're going to e-mail me soon. However, I was reading more online about it and I noticed even to become a RMT you have to take the NCTBMB, unless I was reading something wrong. When I become licensed in DE I have to take that test, so when I pass it, will I have to take it again in MD?

I'm kind of confused any input would be appreciated, thank you.:undecided:

MD is one of the most excruciating states for getting a license.

I can't keep the two levels straight, but I know one requires at least 30 college credit hours (does not matter if it is in Underwater Basketweaving, so how this helps you be a better MT is beyond me) and both require you to go to Baltimore to sit for the state test, in addition to the NCBTMB

That's the thing, I don't plan on becoming licensed here anytime soon, just the RMT.

NCTBMB will send your test results wherever you ask to have them sent. You won't have to sit for the same exam twice. I think it was $25?? to have them send results to the state, so you'll have to pay that for each state, I'm sure. Other than that, I have no clue about Maryland.

Yup. I'm a CMT in MD and, since I didn't need to continue my license there now that I live in Europe, I called to change to Inactive Status. I was charged a nice fee for that and have to keep paying that fee every 2 years. LOL


On the other hand, the people I dealt with on the phone and in person over there years have always been very nice.
