Lately, I've been studying hard out in Montreal so I haven't been able to do my weekly spa visit for the past while. So finally, since it's March-break and all, I decided to come back down to Toronto to visit my parents and to catch up on my spa visits. Anyways, I was kind of feeling experimental so I decided to open the papers to see which place I should go check out. I decided to go check out this place called Ginger.
It's a little spa located at 1331 Warden Avenue , unit #7. It's in a little plaza just a bit south of the 401. I went inside. The place is cheaply decorated and I swear on my life... the place smelt like urine!!!!!! It smelt like someone pissed all over the spa and nobody bothered to clean it up!! !!! Then, that's when I found out who the culprit was... Out of nowhere, this vicious looking dog comes out barking at me. (Nice greeting huh?) An older Chinese lady then comes out and tells the dog to back off. She then showed me to one of the rooms and told me it was $40. I asked to see the ladies so she told me to wait. I looked around the room. The room is tiny, again cheaply decorated, with a shower that's almost impossible for a grown person to actually get inside. The bed is covered with a garbage bag with a ripped, dirty sheet on top. Again, the room stunk like urine. Two girls came in and introduced themselves. Since I didn't find any of them attractive, and the place stunk, I decided to give them my usual line that I had to go to the bank and get some money. Anyways, as I was leaving, I heard a woman's voice saying, "go get him boy" and out from the back room, the vicious dog came pouncing out and running after me. I started running and I heard the women laughing!!!! The dog chased me out the door but managed to bite the heel of my shoe and the bottom of my pants. My brand new $200 pants is now torn at the bottom!!!!! I was so furious, I just went home and forgot all about my spa-hopping.
So anyone deciding to go check out new places, I strongly suggest you steer clear of this digusting place. Anyways, I should've been smart and checked out the reviews on Ginger's. If I had, I would've found out that the place was busted big time last year as a bawdy house (apparently, it was all over the newspapers but since I was in Montreal, I didn't know about it) so then, I wouldn't have wasted my time going there. Anyways, back to SRM for me!!!!! It's a little out of the way but definitely worth the drive.
