Can a person with a pacemaker take up massage therapy as a career?

I have a pacemaker and I'm taking up massage therapy as a career and someone told me that I can't take up massage therapy as a career because when I give or get a massage It can slow down my heart and my pacemaker wont know when to kick in... Does anyone know if this is true?!?
