Hello Colleagues: I have an opportunity to do massage in a fitness center for a very large fitness center in Portland, Oregon. I proposed to them a per minute price for each member, and the client pay the therapist. Well, it turns out that corporate wants me to charge the fitness center a flat price for any, and all massages performed. They want it to be a service to the fitness club members, with not charge to them individually. The fitness center, manager, district manager, and V.P. are all in agreement on the idea, and want me to proceed ahead. They want me to make another proposal to give to the president of the corporation to finalize the proposal. In the one fitness center we are going to start has 8,000 members, and six other fitness centers throughout the city. Some fitness centers are larger, some smaller. The manager wants me to propose massage based on 4,000 members to see how much interest there will be from the members. Please advise me on the price per day, week, or month that would be a competitive amount. They have told me the job is mine to have, they just want a better proposal than the first one I drafted, to give the president. I want to charge $ 100.00 per hour for my services, with a staff of at least four therapists working at a time. Members can get a chair, or table massage anytime they choose. I am setting it up to have the members do a pre, and post massage for their workouts. I am in need of price ideas. Thank you,
Earl E. Espinoza, LMT.
