Beaumont — The City of Beaumont has shut down Sun Massage on Walden Road and arrested an employee following multiple complaints about prostitution.
Detectives gathered intelligence corroborating the complaint and developed probable cause to arrest Shi Ximei, 42, according to BPD.
Once probable cause for the arrest was obtained, detectives entered the business in a shopping center in the 5700 block of Walden Road at about 10 a.m. Thursday.
Beaumont Fire and Beaumont Code Enforcement officers inspected the business and found violations that resulted in shutting down Sun Massage.
Police Narcotics and Vice officers arrested Ximei and she was booked into jail on a prostitution charge. She posted $500 bond and was released Friday.
If convicted of the Class B Misdemeanor, she could face up to 6 months in jail and up to a $2,000 fine.
This investigation is ongoing and BPD is still processing evidence. Police say it could result in additional arrests.
