I wanted to contribute to this forum to help the consumers of services in and around the Mississauga area know what to expect from Classic Spa in Mississauga.
I recently visited this establishment and I was sorely disappointed in the entire experience. FTR, I'm an average looking, early 40's white dude with a dad bod. Not terribly exciting, but not an extra in a Walking Dead zombie scene either. I'm not a seasoned hobbyist either by any means - this was only my second-ever visit to this kind of an establishment. But, my experience is worth sharing I think.
A Google search showed that this place was not too far from the airport hotel I was staying at. It also had a number of positive Google and Yelp reviews. That is usually a good sign. So, I phoned ahead to confirm that there were attendants that were available. Upon hearing that there were, I drove to the establishment which was easy to find and had ample parking.
The receptionist let me in once I came into the vestibule, she sat me in the first open massage room and asked me to wait for the line up. I forget the names (the whole experience was forgettable, frankly) but I couldn't really tie any of them to any attendant listed on the website. While the website has a number of girls, only one of the four could have possibly had the figures shown - even when enhanced by graphic artist with expert-level skills in Photoshop. The first attendant came through the door in a pretty lingerie set but she was a larger white girl and I immediately wondered about the logistics of a B2B session. While cute, her disinterest was palpable and she had the most vacant "I'm dead inside" look on her face. It seemed it pained her to build up the stamina to utter three words "Hi, I'm whomever", present her hand with a dead fish form and feel, and turn to leave. Immediate cross-off of the list. The second attendant had a bit more pep but it was difficult to understand her name as she featured a heavy Eastern Asian accent and was a bit older and somewhat frail. While not as cold and distant as the first attendant, it became obvious that she, too, would have rather gargled bleach that provided any kind of services to me. She spun away immediately after the introduction without so much as breaking a smile or looking at my face. That was going to be a no for me, too. Third lady was a Latina gal - which in my 42 years on this earth has been an experience that has eluded me - and I was excited to see how she was. Alas, same boorish indifference with a mechanical "Hi, I'm Latina whatever" and an immediate twirl away without so much as a hint of interest. 0-3 at this point. Finally, the final option presents herself - and I don't remember her name. She's not on the website FYI. Anyway, this gal was a very attractive, younger gal with nice bolt-ons, pretty face and was the only person there I'd met that had even a shred of personality. She actually smiled! So, between all of them, I decided that this gal would be the attendant I'd choose for the evening's relaxation.
The receptionist poked her head in immediately after the final attendant in the line-up and asked for my preference. I chose the last one, of course, as she appeared to be the only one with a pulse. I provided the house fee and I was told to sit tight and my attendant would be right in to discuss my experience. I sat there for about 5 minutesuntil she finally came in. She expressed surprise that I was still dressed and not showered. About 15 minutes had elapsed between the time I got out of the shower at my hotel and I was in the lobby of the spa, so I didn't think it would be necessary but I was informed that it was. She told me not to worry - it wouldn't eat into my time I paid for. So, I showered and waited for about 10 minutes after I was done for her to return. Been in the room by myself for about 20 minutes at this point. When she returned the second time, I opted for the VIP package and provided her with the necessary funds. I assumed the position on the table and the attendant began the session.
It would seem based on circumstantial evidence that there in no requirement in Ontario for persons employed in this line of work to receive any training or demonstrate a certain level of skills to participate in the industry. I had about 10 minutes worth of a back rub that I would liken to someone that didn't like me having their contact lenses pop out of their eye sockets simultaneously and land somewhere on my back and then they, with their impaired vision, had to utilize their fingertips with the minimum amount of pressure possible at the highest practical speed to locate said contact lens as quickly as possible. After the proverbial contact lens search, the B2B part of the session began. While somewhat better, I felt like the ice in an ice rink on amateur night with a pretty girl just learning how to skate falling down repeatedly but using her hands to get back up to try again. If she would have fallen in more than one direction it would have been nice, but nope, only one direction. Then the flip. If I closed my eyes, I would have felt like I was back with my ex-wife in the waning years of our relationship where the experience was completely transactional but attempts were made to coax excitement out of each other as a superficial but inherently insincere courtesy. In the end, it got the job done but you just knew that the underlying unattraction and disinterest was at a level that wasn't really able to be masked.
She got up and showered without me - in fact told me to wait until she was done. I then hopped in myself and attempted in vain to exfoliate the ~1,000 ml of baby oil applied to my back and legs during the contact lens part of the session with dollar store soap and my hands worn rough from years of office work. We finished with a forced, awkward conversation about the weather and I left.
So, I paid a total of $180 in anticipation of a memorable and relaxing 45 minute experience. But, I was in the building for a total of 35 minutes including waiting to be let in/out and I had a person in the room with me for about 15 minutes.
A few years ago in the midst of the real estate bust, it took me a year to sell my house after moving for a new job. I'd bought it at the peak of the real estate bubble and I was upside down on it. My real estate agent couldn't have possibly exerted less energy on trying to sell my house and when she finally did, the best offer she could get was $60,000 UNDER what I owed the bank. So after a year of professional neglect that bordered on malpractice, getting an offer that netted me a $60,000 loss, I still had to pay this worthless scab a commission check that totaled $7,500. That is the only time in my entire life I can think of where I received less value for services I paid for.
Should have just gone self-service on this one.
