Clothed Massage Modalities?

Other than Shiatsu, Acupressure, Reflexology and Chair massage, what other "Clothed" courses are out there? It's almost summer and oils tend to break me out (even the hypoallergenic oils), and I do not want to be breaking out in the summer time when I plan on hitting the beach...acne back and bikinis on a Southern California beach in OC is not cute. I want to take another massage course and am wanting to take a clothed course (I've already taken the ones I've mentioned in the past).

Any others out there?

PS I was interested in Oncology Massage and Craniosacral...are those clothed courses?

I've done some NMT through clothing. It can be done Mostly using strategically placed elbows and forearms or thumbs for trigger point therapy or whatever.

I've also done the Swedish/Deep Tissue through clothing. Ironing on the paraspinal muscles with the client prone can work surprisingly well and feel surprisingly good

Chair Massage, Reflexology, Active Isolated Stretching, Structural Yoga (see MuKunda Stiles http://www.yogatherapycenter.org/) and various energetic healing arts such as Reiki, Jin Shin Jyutsu, etc.

Positional release and stretching modalities work well with clothes on, though I encourage them to wear comfy workout clothes to enable free movement.

Examples of...

Positional Release: Strain Counterstrain, Orthobionomy, Kinesiotaping, and variations on those.

Stretching: Active Isolated Stretching (AIS -Mattes, Baltz, etc.), Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Muscle Energy Technique (MET), Contract Relax Active Contract (CRAC), Facilitated Stretching (CRAC variation), etc.

NOTE: Positional release and muscle energy technique are also part of the NMT curriculum. Trigger point also works well through clothes, and I frequently employ all three types of NMT techniques with clothed clients.

  John Harris calls his technique "Barefoot Deep Tissue". I hope to take his seminar or catch his class at Santa Barbara Body Therapy Institute in the near the future.
  
  My friend raved about the seminar he taught at the California AMTA convention a few years ago. What I like about his technique is that it is more portable than Ashiatsu because you only need a rug or mat, bolsters/pillows and use a cane to stabilize yourself.
