A medico cetificado assures that a servidora has been visually checked once a week or every other week(depending on the city) and blood-tested once every three months at a government medico. Although I wish that they drew blood once a month, Mexico's current system is equivalent or better than what the majority of countries provide.

In the Mexico city that I was previouosly living in, none of the escort agencies provided a medico certifcado. None. Some of the independents may have had them(as a selling point) but the escorts are not stringently regulated such as in the strip clubs or casa de citas. If the Mexican regulatory agency finds out a girl without a test is working, they can be shut down, fined and/or lose their license. Each establishment also has internet access to a private website to servidoras with failed tests that posts their name, photo and pertinent data. Furthermore, the agency will also go to each establishment with a recent photo of a girl with a failed blood test.

The Mexico city that I am now living in has numerous illegal casa de citas that I will not patronize. The cost of a visual inspection is $200 pesos and the cost of blood is $500 pesos. Since the testing is not a major expense, why wouldn't the girls at the illegal casa de citas elect to work at the legal ones?

Although bbbj universally has a 100-300 pesos upsell, generally there is no additional charge for bbfs. If a servidora(with a current medico certificado) in a casa de cita likes you, that is her way of telling you as such.

Nearly every one of our chicas has the card. The others test privately. We have had 3 claims over the years with none of them being real.

The craziest claim came after a couple did a bi-sexual date and said they got chlamydia. The chica had just been tested....we sent her back...contacted the client and offered to fax him both test results.

Then the guy told me he already had it...passed it to his wife and tried to convince his wife we gave it to him.

Other two claims ended up being urinary tract infections.

There was a big stink on another board about a chica infected....in time the guy admitted he made the entire story up to keep people from seeing her.

A "medico certificado." is almost worthless and carry's no assurances of any STDs. Futhermore, in 10 years I have never seen a report from a monger stating that he got an STD from any escort agency.

the problem with escorts is that the majority, if not almost all of them, do not carry "medico certificado." to some johns that may not be important but for others it is the most important factor when pursuing pfp, especially if one is electing to pursue the ulimate gfe...sin condon. mp's to me are the most economical for my needs and budget.

There are various types of "putas" in Tijuana. Each type has it's own market niche.

Street Walkers.
They're termed walkers because--unlike street girls who stand in the same place--they wander around the streets. Walkers do this because they fear being arrested for working without a health care. Most are heavy drug users. Many are needle users and many have STDs. They're the most likely to steal, set you up, etc. I advise avoiding them.

Street Girls.
Street girls (paraditas in Spanish) typically are found working the same hours of a day standing in the same place. Most have health cards; about 90% have pimps (padrotes). They tend to be younger girls from the rural parts of Mexico prostituting themselves to support an older man they think of as their boyfriend/husband. (They tend to be unsophisticated, which is different than being inexperienced.) They stand in or near the "alley" of the Zona Norte. Most won't leave the "alley" to go to a better hotel or private residence. They offer hurried, mechanical sessions and seldom are willing to provide GFE services such as DFK, BBBJ, DATY, MSOG, etc. They are infamous for up-selling once they reach the room. So negotiate everything--including taking off clothes--in advance. Prices are often about $20.00 for 15 minutes, plus a few bucks for a flea bag hotel room.

Note: In Mexico, like the US, prostitution is governed by state and local law. No law in Tijuana prohibits the basic act of prostitution--which is exchanging money for sex. However, there are many laws that govern how prostitution can be legally practiced. For example, solicitation in public is not legal and is only allowed inside the Zona of Tolerance (commonly referred to on the boards as the Zona Norte, but in reality it is only a few blocks of the Zona Norte). In Tijuana you'll find many bars outside the ZN which contain chicas working as prostitutes. (The door is covered by a curtain or similar device so what happens within the bar is not within the public view.) Hence in TJ you'll only find street girls within the Zona Norte/Zone of Tolerance.

Bar Girls.
As the name indicates, these are prostitutes found working in bars. Many other types of "putas" look down on them because of the (now somewhat old fashioned) stigma against women going to/drinking in bars. Bar girls make money off of the drinks customers buy them as well as going "upstairs" so be careful they don't "ficha fuck" you downstairs. (A ficha is a ticket a chica gets for each drink she sell which she exchanges for cash when her shift ends.) Typically they don't provide some or all GFE services ( DFK, BBBJ, DATY, MSOG, etc.) but almost always they provide better, longer lasting sessions than do street girls. Prices (depending on the bar, your negotiating skills, weekend/weekday, etc.) are often $50-$60 for a 30 minute session. (Plus the price of the hotel room, usually around $15.00.) Often 30 minute sessions are cut short by an early knock on the door by a hotel employee. (If you want to avoid the early knock on the door, when possible, spend the extra money that's needed to get a room for the night. It may save money if you're doing more that one chica. But remember during their shift bar girls can only go to the hotel affiliated with their bar.) Taking a chica out of the bar before her shift ends usually requires the payment of a bar fine--assuming the chica will leave early. Many bar girls are willing to do a TLN (toda la noche or all night) session usually for $150.00 (sometimes more). Before doing a TLN I suggest a "test drive" to see how well you click. Also, be sure you agree on when the TLN will end, as many bar girls want to leave early (after 3-4 hours).

Strippers.
If a stripper is working in a bar then normally she acts like the (higher priced) bar girls described above. However, if she is working in an actual strip club then she may not (usually won't) have sex with the customers. (Exceptions are where the rent, etc. is due.) Real strippers make their money off of lap dances, tips for dancing on seforum.xxxe, and the drinks they sell.

Massage Parlor Girls.
Back in the day before there were escorts and before MP chicas were required to have a health card MP chicas were the top of the line sex workers. Most have an attitude and consider themselves superior to bar girls and street girls. (Because they don't have to drink or stand outside to get customers.) Also, many MP chicas want to fly under the radar because they have friends and family in Tijuana. Typically you pay a fee (say $40.00) to the house for the room and negotiate the services you want in the room. Sessions normally last 60 minutes. (Few provide GFE sessions; a full service (FS) session is usually $80-$120.) MPs pay a commission to taxi drivers, street people, etc. for customers. Go on your own (get out of the cab a couple of blocks away and wait the taxi to leave) then ask to pay $30.00 for the room. Also, ask if they offer a package. (Sometimes for $80.00 you'll get a room, 30 minutes of straight massage, and 30 minutes of FS.) If you do see a MP chica that interests you then take charge of the line up. Ask the girl you're interested in to come talk to you. Hold her by the hand and see what vibes you get. Have a conversation--by whispering in each others ear--about what services you want and what they'll cost. I stopped going to MPs when escorts became popular and the price of seeing a MP chicas started approaching what escorts charge.

Escorts.
Escorts charge more than do other types of Tijuana providers. The going rate is up to $150.00 an hour, but many agencies offer day time specials of three hours for $300.00 and night time specials of eight hours for $300.00. (Plus you pay for the hotel and taxi.) IMHO escorts are well worth what they charge because they provide GFE sessions (DFK, BBBJ, DATY, MSOG, etc.) first time, every time.

Note: There are escort agencies catering to the Gringo market and the local market. My comments above apply to the top tier agencies that cater to the Gringo market. Agencies catering to locals (usually their website is in Spanish) often charge less than the agencies catering to the Gringo market because usually they only provide full service--not GFE sessions.

Chico chicas.
These are transvestites (literally "boy girls" in Spanish slang). I did not covered them because the word putas is a Spanish feminine noun that IMHO does not apply to those with XY chromosomes even when they're wearing traditional female clothing. I mention them, however, because they can be found in some bars, some strip clubs, and on some streets within the Zone of Tolerance. Those wanting a person with XX chromosomes should, naturally, exercise basic caution so as not to be fooled into thinking their getting somebody with XX chromosomes when the person actually has XY chromosomes.

Recommendation:
Which type of puta is best depends on a man's interests, budget, etc. Within what should be obvious limits (like avoiding minors, chicas with STDs, etc.) there isn't a right or wrong way to monger, just satisfied and unsatisfied mongers.

The word puta is most often used to mean prostitute. Many Gringos aren't aware it has other meanings.
Puta means:
--A prostitute. A more precise word is prostituta.
--A promiscuous female or slut. A more precise expression is the colloquial usage of cualquiera meaning slut.
--An irritating, "bitchy" female. A more precise word is sangrona. (Derived from the word sangre, which means blood.)
