Its early in the evening in Soi Eric, and its fairly quiet. I am entertaining my self by trying to beat "mia noi" at connect 4, and failing quite spectacularly.
A little while later, this guy sits down at the bar, and is joined by one of the girls, and buys each of them a drink - nothing unusual there. This guy has a loud voice, and, as he was sitting fairly near me I couldn't help but overhear his conversation, which went something like this:-
"This is my first time in Thailand, and I'm not sure how things are done round here."
After this brilliant start, he goes on to say: " I really like you, and if you spend tonight, tommorrow and tommorrow night with me I will pay you 6000 baht". Any way I didn't hear what her response was, but he didn't seem to happy.
I took a look at the girl, she wasn't a stunner, but then again she wasn't a double bagger.
A short while later both girls went to spend 5 baht, and I had a chance to speak to the guy.
Should I have:
(a) told him he was offering far too much, told him what the going rate was.
(b) told him he was offering far too little money, and that before he started talking money he had to ring the bell above the bar twice.
(c) not talked about that at all, if he could afford that sort of money then it wasn't my concern, and the girl would be happy

So, what should I have done? I'll tell you what I did later.

So you have never experienced the kind of freedom I am talking about, Because by what you have said you have been in constant relationships since you were 14/15, So you have not lived your life outside a "relationship" yet so you can not weigh up the pro's and cons of both things really, And most importantly by the sounds of what you have been saying you have never had your heart shattered by a girl before, And believe me it tends to change your outlook on relationships and life

I have experienced everything there is to experience with single life, Im coming across like someone who needs to be with someone because of fear of being lonely or something along those lines but I have not been stuck with a girl since been 14/15, I fell in love I did not go looking for it, these things happen(that was not taken straight out of a cheesey movie).

Im not an angel here either, Drunk on holiday in europe I have ****ed a prostitute. Last year in Thailand my girlfriend went home early and I did kiss a Thai woman in Krabi but snapped out of before it went any further - Do I regret both of those things? Yes I do.

I ignored that question because I just see no relevance other than the word fun. I find prostitution degrading,disrespectful and I am generally just strongly against it. I am not having a go at any for this, I respect that you chose to do so and I would not like to be looked at as an outsider on this forum because my opinions on this topic differ from the majority of the board members.

Allybabba: I think you are being a little judgemental on IreMark. Saying that he doesnt know anything about life because he is only 19 years old. Are you not just 23? I dont think there is that a big of a difference there in age and experience.
Both sides make a good point on the subject of paying for sex. IreMark was not using his common sense to state that he would never pay for sex and degrade it the way he has. I guess he did not notice the message board he is on!!
I think that many guys have had their hearts crushed by a women in the past and think what is the point of trying to be in a serious relationship when you can have fun being single and fock anything that you like.
It is true that even if you have a wife or girlfriend you are indirectly paying for sex but that goes with the same arguement that if you jerk off to pornography you are paying also. (DVD, internet costs etc) Basically a pretty stupid arguement to make. Everything we do or pay for has indirect consequences if you think about it. If your view of relationships is like this then maybe it is best you are not in one.
I think that if IreMark was here in Thailand and one of these hot little numbers were to come onto him and take him home and then say they wanted 100 baht, he would likely give it to them thinking it is not much money. Would he go out looking for it like other BMs do? Likely not.
I am with IreMark in that I have never paid for sex either. Will I in the future? I dont know, I have no plans for it, I like to play my life as it comes to me.
I am just recently married to a women who I have been with for 5 years. There are great times and there are some bad times. But that is just life.
I think that many BMs are happy with their lifes and that should be what is most important. You will get some people who call the guys mongers and perverts for going over to SE Asia to pay for sex with young women. Well that is just Bullshite!
The only thing that I could see bothering me if I choose that lifestyle is the quiet times with that special someone. Everyone wants to be loved and thought of all the time. That is why it would be hard for me to pay for sex. Do they really like or love me or just want the money. Some people view sex as sex others view sex as love. Neither are better than the other just different.
I have no problem what anyone does on this board. I even think that Dirty Mikes stories of the dark side are awesome.
Pay for it, dont pay for it. JUst do it!!
