It's a long-lasting issue of this board.
What is your intake of it?
It's so hard to find any members of this board including me who didn't break rules of discretion.
Why is it so hard to keep discretion in reviews?
Is it ego or what?

I engage in this business to get a sensual massage. Don't really care how good the massage is but do love the sensual tension build up from a talented lady who knows how to go about things.

I also belive these ladies know if they do good, they will make decent money. In order for that to happen, people need to know what is being delivered.

Right or wrong, my feeling is it is no secret what they are doing, their friends and families know, because it's not a one of instance. Most of the locations are as close to adult massage Parlors as you can be.

My only concern for discretion would be the possibility the licenses could be revoked by authorities. But let's face it, those authorities know what's going on too.

So what should be reviewed and what shouldn't be reviewed is open, Especially on forums where the sole intention is to review what where and who is a good choice to see.

Ya I'm totally thinking about discretion, as I scroll down through the massage ads of rmts with tits almost hanging out. It screams discretion. I think this forum is to much for some people who get offended easily.

I'm with Bob and Flux. We show discretion to a point but we have no control over the next guy that "lets the cat out of the bag". I do know my favorite does things for me that I haven't seen on here and I keep that to myself. Of late I prefer discretion on what I get from the ladies.

I gave up on this debate for a long while now. It is one of those debates that never ends. But most say....they will talk if they want to.....that the ladies assume the risks of public exposure by giving extras.

I can say: every place I go to post covid, the ladies are all starting to want discretion. I respect what they say....but it actually is bad for business...when most are slow. Actually wanting reviews sending a hint, would likely make them more busier.

Besides: if you send out a message: "we don't want online reviews" , people new to this board, might easily be able to guess why. And they should also know
...multiple individuals are gonna share their secret, regardless of their requests for privacy.

Yes, the ongoing debate: On the one hand this is a REVIEW forum where guys come to give and recieve reviews on various SP's so that we can all benefit with better service, lower prices(??), and avoid getting ripped off- the SP's be damned. The forum is for OUR benefit (well plus the admin's through ad revenue...) Any SP with any brains knows this forum exists and she's going to be talked about. If she's really smart she'll join the forum and take advantage of the opportunity for free advertising and gain some rapport/sympathy with her clientele.

On the other side, I've spoken to one lady who has said texts from jerks outnumber the actual, sincere customers 5:1 and it gets tiresome. Then there's the concern with LE and the possibility of losing one's RMT license and the ability to issue insurance claimable reciepts. How much, or IF LE and the CRMTA follows this forum or even knows about it or even cares is another question. I can't imagine that any bosses, LE, or other organization could be naiive enough to NOT know about review boards like this. I think there is a LOT of turning a blind eye- money talks. Besides, nobody's getting hurt. The customers are happy. And the girls make better money- win-win! One establishment I go to half the girls provide happiness and the others don't. In fact I had a 4-hand with one of each. When it came to the flip, the one girl left the room...

Discretion or not, I'm sure if LE was really concerned they'd be running sting operations all over the city. They are more concerned about human trafficing. Both LE and CRMTA only get concerned when there are complaints that make their organizations look bad. No complaints- everybody's happy!

I believe discretion on this board is a courteous thing for us to do for our SP's that are certified. RMT training isn't easy and they value their certificates. And we appreciate being able to claim on our insurance (though I don't have any! ) I think we have been handling this matter well with our unwritten "rules". The problem is the fact that they are unwritten and some people take a long time to figure them out (and some are too dense to figure them out at all!)

I used to write what I write because I choose to, I was an admin at one point in time for another review board and I take pride in busting shrills and fakers. After hearing V's story, I changed a lot. V was not only the best that ever was to have worked in Edmonton, she was a friend. First, there was the incident with her landlord. Then some jerk took advantage of her, I actually offered to call in a favour and send "a friend of a friend" to "negotiate" for her, he does really good work negotiating with a 1-iron. The jerk printed reviews of V's, go to her place, demanding full service and only agree to pay the base $80/hr fee. When she refused, he threatened to go to the city and police. As an immigrant, she is afraid of losing what money she had invested in her spa. At that time, her new boyfriend's family and her daughter did not know what she did for a living. With a typical passive Asian mentality, she gave in once, twice... then the jerk's family and friends started to show up demanding the same thing. The end result, she sold Lavender and left town.

If you are wondering, there is a reason why a lot of ladies refuse to see certain customers (right in their ads), V had trouble with them, I assume others did as well; too many of them are just too cheap and too much trouble to service.

Knowing what I write can hurt the people I care about, I choose my words carefully. I will write honest bad reviews, I do not mind hurting bad people who have no place in the industry. I will choose my words extremely carefully for others, I want them to succeed. I will not write review of people who asked me not to for valid reasons; I have three regulars but you have only seen me write about two of them here or on CAF. One of them have an internet savvy child at home, imagine googling your mom up and her name showed up on one of these reviews.

As for the assertion that some of you are making that they are slow and they need the promotion for business, the answer is no. All of my regulars are in the superperformer category and they are all busier than ever since the reopening. The city has seen a dramatic reduction in number of visits from traveling girls, micros like SBB/WB have limited supplies and they are sold out. The excess demands spill over to the other suppliers. Remember, when 90% of foreign supply is gone, even if demand is down 50%, whatever "good" supply is left is going to be sold out. What changed, repeat customers; SPs are getting way more repeating customers as most of us sample less and repeat more.

As for whether the girls and the MP owners know about the board, yes they ALL do, don't be naive to think that this is our secret little world. I was told that one owner reviews the board daily and uses info on the board against girls he does not like. Owners know that the police don't care but their neighbors, their landlords and our city are different. City/Health Services has been inspecting weekly for mask and health violations, just last week, I had two appointments delayed because of inspections, literally sat in my car and waited for the inspectors to leave before entering. Two months ago, a southside spa opened up secretly, neighbour complained, and the City came, fined them and tried to shut them down permanently for plumbing code violations; now of course the landlord is pissed. The owners care a lot less about the $50 an hour they get for appointments, they care a lot more for the tens of thousands invested in opening the place up in the first place. The owners get the same amount per hour no matter what was performed in the room, put yourself in their shoes, do you think they want their place to be known as full service central with people coming in for 1/2 hour quickies? No, they want customers who come in for 2 hour regular massages. Not to mention some of them are immigrants using the MP as their ticket to citizenship, if the place is gone, so is their ticket.

Someone noted above that semi-legit places are just like micros and AMPs, no! By and large, micros are not licensed by the city so as long as neighbours don't complain, police don't care, they continue to operate. As far as I can remember, one Asian micro was busted near Chinatown after neighbours complained. AMPs are different again, they are all known to the neighbours/landlords/city/police; AMP pays way more rent and more licensing fees than others, there are more restrictions on them and they occupy spaces landlords could not rent out otherwise. Have you ever seen an AMP in a Class A building? or even a Class B? How do I know? I am a landlord, buildings with certain tenants have insane cap rates but many landlords who are large corporations would not touch them.

Knowing what I write can hurt someone, I choose my words carefully in public. I know that when one of my friends here need more details, they'd pm me. I have no issue helping old buddies or new friends alike, I just don't want to publicly say something that can potentially hurt someone I like. A smart person gleans what information he can from public reviews and ask for details in pms, a dumb one demands to be spoon fed. Many of you exchange pms and emails with me, you know how explicit I can get when in private.

Finally, since I am already on the soapbox, if you pm me and never got a response, you probably fall into the one category of posters I ignored, those trolls who authored hundreds of complaints and not a single original review (none of those one-line "I saw her too" type of reviews who certain people like to use to get "respect"). No respect shall ever be given to anyone who is not able to write a proper paragraph long review. Just a suggestion, look at your own profile once in a while, review the first 2 or 3 pages of your posts and see if you are a good contributor or if you are just a leech/troll.

My discretion rules are simple. In the case of any spa or individual who issues RMT receipts, I do not post on YMMV services, as they are just that, YMMV. If the provider posts ads with a menu of services, then posting on those services is just fine.

This approach has worked for me over the years. A serious massage provider who also has a sensual side is more willing to try out new things with a client, when after some weeks and months, she doesn't read about that particular 'special event'. Ultimately, everyone is human, and some masseuses will try new things if they like you and they know that you don't have loose lips. It's business, but sometimes they can have some special fun too. And relax. If client's discretion is proven over time. PM with proven members is a better way to share some common ideas.

VERY well stated my friend. The two points I quoted are why I respectfully have to disagree with Bob. Yes, in some cases where they work in "semi" legit places, families do know WHERE the lady works but have no idea what she does behind closed doors. In the body rub places, this is obviously not true (assuming they do know she works there). I know an SP with two kids and they thought mom worked n a restaurant washing dishes, for years. I hate the excuse that this is a review board and have been saying for YEARS that first off, the ladies never asked for your opinion like some businesses do so it is not fair to use that argument. Also, as you stated, it should be used to root out the rip-offs, not violate one's privacy. Most guys wants discretion but are not willing to offer it back. Hopefully they will listen to you this time.

So sorry to hear about Miss V's story. I too saw her a lot and we had amazing times together but I did not know this story. Sad that someone would hurt such a wonderful lady. Sad for him and his friends too that the only way they could get it was to blackmail and rape a lady.

I do not post a lot of "reviews" but until too many assholes started showing up and making it a chore, rather than than interesting, to read anything here. I did try to answer questions guys had while not violating discretion. Also have not seen new ladies recently. What you state is exactly why I will not post a review of places that have a sign in the room asking no reviews. However, if I book an hour massage and get a bait & switch, am out of there in 20 minutes etc, THAT I WILL post because it is just plain bad business and a ripoff.

Excellent posts by Qster and Albertaman. My rule is that new posters who have offered little or nothing don't get a reply from me to inquiries on either a public thread or by PM. It's funny how one can usually tell after very few posts whether or not they are someone I want to share with. If in doubt I personally always error on the side of not sharing with those questions.

On that note, does anyone have any leads for Vietnamese providers? I had hoped I could go there again in the fall, but last week they had another outbreak after going more than three months with no infections at all. My feeling now is that they will continue to be locked down until after the new year.
