do you think going into massage therapy is a good plan? why?

i'm looking to go back to school and thinking of massage therapy as a career option. i'm a female thats 5'0", i weigh 119lbs and i have a lot of physical endurance.
 
I really think there are a lot of better options available that pay better, offer benefits and more opportunities like PT/PTA and OT/OTA. Massage therapists are often treated like prostitutes. Employers that want to attract and keep employees that are in demand offer benefits. You will not find benefits offered for massage employees anywhere that I know of. The only real opportunities for massage is with your own business which takes a lot of extra time in addition to the massage and is very expensive to operate.
