Does Massage Envy do good massages? What are they like?

I've decided to start getting a massage every month and there is a Massage Envy in my town. Their massages cost about half the price of the place that I've been going to. If you've ever been to a Massage Envy, what are they like? Any explanation for why they are so cheap (other than than they are a chain and can undercut the smaller places)? Thanks.

i went to massage envy one time and the massage i got was great but i was lucky to get a really good guy. so i would think its the luck of the draw. i have friends that have gone there too and they all had positive experiences. i wont go back only because i hated that i had to hear a whole sales speech right after my massage. i just wanted to get out of there and be relaxed but as soon as your done you have to listen to how you will benefit from being a member and if you sign the contract right then how much you will save. so we have massage harmony here which is exactly the same thing but no sales pitch. i just dont want a contract but this may not be a big deal to you. they are cheap because they are a chain and yes you are right they pay there massage people nothing which is why its important to tip really good if you like your therapist.
