I agree,i'm not sure whether you've been 'ripped off' by a t/g,b/g,or are just very insecure when it comes to women in general.To suggest that this is the norm for b'g's emailing prospective 'clients' is nonsense,i'm in the bar business and sometimes have to write e mails for my b'g's to boyfreinds,and i can assure you that they do not write anything like you've suggested,i think post tsunami b'g's/tg's outlook on life has changed alot,and alot of them have started doing some serious thinking when it comes to bf's.

I'm with you on this Tin Tin can't understand the point trying to be made, maybe we are both thick.

Perhaps it should be in a thread of interesting emails from bg's or anyone got a similar email or comparing emails received, gregor you need to perhaps explain where this is going. Or has mandarin got it right cos it was just supposed to be funny?

I guess he's having a dig at the BGs who have several gullible guys spread over the world who send them money all thinking they are her only sweetheart! I've often laughed at them (the gullible guys that is) when I've been sat in an internet shop and helped some of the girls with their emails!

Wow- You guys all sound a bit defensive, seems good to know to me. I think there are lots of guys who go to thailand the first time, fall in like with some girl, and then get these emails. It's really hard to believe that that sweet, innocent village girl could be so shady that she would try to trick you out of some money with no care for your feelings, so you begin to feel really guilty, imagining that poor beauty pining away with love for you, all alone in some meager room. I think it does change the way you need to look at things, to know that many girls do keep drafts of emails like this and send them to multiple guys. I myself was CC'ed on an email to another guy : Also, when the "braking the password" thread was around, I used the old 12345678 to check another ladies email and was amused to find several men being told specifically that "you are the number one man for me".

I mean, BGs have their grapevine and we have our own. I was really glad to have found this website before my trip, I was somewhat prepared and not a total sucker when I did go for the first time. Of course all girls aren't liars, etc., but I do think the vast majority of those sad emails are ruses. Forget all the moralizing on both sides (don't hack emails, don't try to steal farang's money). It's just a game, isn't it?

I don't think there's anything shifty or crooked about what they do. They're looking out for themselves.

Some farang comes for a couple of weeks every year fcuks them silly tells them he wants to look after them but wants them to quit the bar scene.

Wonder how many broken promises it takes for them to become jaded.

And really, are they lying to you? She'd probably jump at the first farang that actually comes through with his promise of a visa or marriage and who knows, could be a wonderful wife for them.

They're just using a shotgun approach hoping to hit someone.

If you care about her send her the money, but unless you're sending enough to support her full-time, expect her to work.

Amen to that brother excpet for what you say about it being a game. For the girls it's real life. I can see gregor 200's attempt at humour and had a wry chuckle (possibly true in some cases), but we should all at least have some respect for the role these girls and what they put up with for our enjoyment.
