The victim spoke Mandarin and only a little English, and police used a Farmington police sergeant to translate her interview.The victim told police she got to New Mexico ten days before and was tricked. She also told officers she worried about her family and her safety. She got her after receiving a work advertisement on "WeChat," according to court documents.That advertisement was looking for a massage therapist. The victim arrived on Monday, April 15. She met the business owner, but did not know her name and only referred to her as "boss."Police were told by the victim the two got into an argument after she said she no longer wanted to work there. That happened on Tuesday, April 30, and the "boss" said she better not go to the police cause she knows where the victim and her family lives.She told police officers two containers were labeled for salt and laundry detergent had condoms inside, according to court documents. A photograph of one of the containers were shown to Farmington police and it appeared to hold condoms.The victim said she did not travel to New Mexico or take the job that includes sexual favors. Someone told her she could leave, but she said she is struggling financially and could not return from where she came from.Police were told by the victim she did perform sexual acts on numerous people at the business. She also said the business used indoor and outdoor surveillance cameras to check for customers.If a person was not known by the "boss," the front door would be locked, according to court documents.
