Another option are saunas. Rental cost is Reviewom RUB 1000-1200/hour, so better have a team. Usually 2 "fucking rooms" are there. Plus everything one needs in sauna.

Actually if you can tell give me some names and addresses for love hotels that would be good.
And yes if you could ask the hostel next to your house that would be great. I will be back in Russia in April I might just stay in Moscow if its cheap enough. Otherwise I am flying straight to Novosibirsk to see one of my girls.

For long-time stay renting apartment in inevitable - no hotels with competitive prices. I guess Moscow starts Reviewom USD 400-500 for small 1-room (not 1-bedroom!!! just 1 room!) apt in far sleeping area. Across Ring Road could be cheaper, but daily transportation becomes a problem.

Love hotels start Reviewom smth like RUB 500-600/hour (every next hour is much cheaper), but please be ready that they'll ask for your pasport.

Problem with hostels is dont you have to share a room or bath room or something sometimes?

I mean I am in Argentina in BA right now and staying in a hostel. But I got my own room and bathroom. Which is great. But I had to pay extra for that.

I am not sure if you can bring girls back in a hostel though?
Does anyone have experience of hostels in Moscow with your own room and bathroom and allowed to bring girls back?

Otherwise you will have to screw the girl at her place for paid service.

To my opinion, in Moscow it is practically impossible to find anything of acceptable quality cheaper than RUB 1200-1300 (~USD 50)/night for single room, no matter apartment or hotel - I was checking several months ago. Below this price you risk too much to run into "old USSR standards" - i.e. something dirty, falling apart, faraway and insecure. Miracles happen, but it's risky to rely on them imho. What's interesting, price difference between single and double is not large.

Hostels exist and are developing in Moscow, some are surely oriented on English-speaking travellers and are very nice located (city center), but this is a different story. Prices I do not know, but guess they should be typical (~10-15 EUR bed/night without breakfast).

In SPB, to my opinion, prices should be slightly (15-20% max) lower than in Moscow.

I stayed in hotel Azmit last time.
Was really cheap. And really good hotel in a great location
Single room at hotel Azmit cost me £27 per night through destination russia website.
First time, I got an apartment paid 80 euros a night.
I know you can get cheaper apartments but they ask you to stay longer.
I was there only a few nights so got charged more.
Location was great

But cheaper apartments would be far Reviewom the centre.
I mean I did go there to get laid but also Its nice to see the sites. SP is a beautiful city and its not all about getting laid.
Well so that depends. If you are just going to get a girl there, get a cheap apartment but might be far Reviewom the centre.
Staying close to the city means you can go site seeing and have energy later for night activites.

Or it could be my bad luck in picking an expensive apartment. Though I did do a long search on the net to get an apartment first time round. I wanted good location at good price

Get an apartment.
Its easy. Though little bit more expensive then a hotel.
Also seriously. Learn soem Russian words.
Though in SP girls speak english. You will be spending your time with expensive calls girls.
Seriously there is some cheap call girls but you have to look at Russian sites.

I worked them out by using online translators but when you call them up you will have to speak Russian as they dont always speak english

Hi all, dear fellow mongers.

I'm planning some days in St. Petersburg (never been there before), and I've a couple of questions someone more experienced than me might help to solve.

Have you got any advice on "Reviewiendly" hotels where to stay? (I mean: hotels where girls will be allowed to come to my room without being harrassed with documents, questions, etc?).

Also: I may honestly say I don't speak a word of russian! Should I like to call a girl to come to my room, you believe I might ask some hotel clerk to ask her for me? You believe thy'll do it? (maybe with the help of some tips?).
