We are travelling to Phuket on 27 Dec from UK and would like to know if there are any decent and safe places to party in Phuket. No girlie bars please.... i know there are loads in phuket.
We girls would like to meet some nice boys who may be travelling as well.

Would also like to know how safe is the situation there with regards to terrorist attack?

Of course you can find nice place to party in Phuket even in Patong ... It's not only a place for guy. Girls can have fun too like couple. I was there with my girlfriend last week and we spent a real good time. If you want to meet nice guys (but all guys are nice you know lol ), my advice will be to stay in Kata (south of Patong - Karon). You can find there many bars with no pretty thai girls ... but with pretty german and swedish guys (if you're looking for italian or french, it's not the right place lol). To be serious, I think, it's better for you to stay in Kata, plus the beach is a paradise much more then in Patong. If you want to hang out in Patong, try the banana ... nice club with good atmosphere even if you'll have a lot of pretty thai competitors lol. If you need more advices, let me know.

I was out there a couple of months ago and teamed up with some girls from Australlia who it had to be said had just a wild time out there as us guys do,It is the same where ever you go though in the world just be extra vigill dont take risks that you wouldnt do at home.As for meeting fun loving guys the U.S navy are always some where around as well as many others,lots of couples and a fair few groups of girlie groups,so i think you would be safe.Plus if im not mistaken the girls at the bars will always look after you aswell.

Why English guys ? Don't you prefer french guys ??? I'm joking. English guys in Phuket ? You can find them every where especially in Patong ... . Don't worry, You'll find a lot over there and very nice guys. No !!! don't be htreaten be the beautiful thai ladies. I'm sure you and your friends are very pretty too. Just to tell you that at Banana, the Girls population is very important and most of them (99 %) come to this place for the same goal ... I let you to guess.

Concerning Phi Phi, I love this place ... for the scenic ... not for the action. It's a very quiet and peaceful island. I'm sure you'll appreciate this place after some crazy nights in Patong. You can go for one day but my advice : stay at least one night over there !!! sunset and night are so magic in Phi Phi ... an unforgettable moment.

Enjoy your stay in Phuket and too bad, I'll be not there to be your guide ... I'll love it lol

you have to go to PHI PHI and do at least one over night there,the beaches are the best,the sunset is breath taking,the are a couple of really cool bars namely 1)the jungle bar and 2)hippies bar. Hippies was my favourite ,just being able to sit on mat on the beach watching the stars with a large drink and warm evening weather ,so unreal.
I am hoping to be out there some time between Feb and April for a few weeks ,being based at Patong and doing whistle stops at Krabi ,phi phi and koh samui oh not forgetting BKK aswell. if your there aswell will shout you a beer.have fun .

Me and my friends went in the summer. We are english and 19 years old, so maybe ill know a few things that can help u.
Ive been to thailand twice and we're going again in July.
Its a really cool place, u will have a fab time.
I didnt meet that many english guys are age. Lots of australian and sweedish, danish etc. But i mean, im sure there will be a few groups of lads for you to have fun with. We met some guys on holiday and it turned out they were from Liverpool also. Theyre VERY rich guys...paid for all our drinks! We still go out with them now when im home (cos im at uni in london). Theyre good friends. And we also met two other english guys who were like 23 and liked the clubs like ourselves. So i mean, the chances are, you'll meet some really nice people.
I went with 3 of my friends the 2nd time i went.
Also, if your looking for more english girls to hang round with, then you'll find some in the Banana. Thats where we met some.
Plus, with the shark club hopefully opening, you will find a lot of young english trendies there. But then it prob wont be open when u are there.
Go to Tiger Disco , its quite cool. They play good music and you get lots of young guys as well. The only thing is, the place is swarmed with thai girls touching u up......you cant move! maybe u wont get the same treatment but hey..u never know!
The thai girls love english girls.
They'll come up to u and want to be ur friend in the clubs, especially if you've got blonde hair.
Go to a place at the top of Soi Bangla called VIP Asia. Its 2 4 1 on drinks until midnight and the music is funky. We used to start our night there, get wasted on the cheap drinks, then go to Tiger to catch their R'n'B/Hiphop set, then rush down to Banana to catch their R'n'B/HipHop set and then we'd just stay in the banana.
These places i am naming are not sleazy. Theyre cool clubs.
Also, theres a new disco open called Montana Disco, but i dont know much bout it. maybe you can try it out and tell me what its like for when i get back!
Ive got a good friend in Phuket if you want to be shown around. She is half Singaporian half Thai and shes v.funny! She drives a Honda Civic so we always used to just drive to beaches where it was only us there, very cool.
She owns a hair salon and a clothes shop etc.
Phi Phi is so gorgeous but i wouldnt stay over if i was you, just go for the day trip. Theres not much to do, although there is a massageplanete that sells weed if ur into that. Its such a beautiful island though.
You should try and make the full moon party at Ko Phang An if you can. i havent been yet but they are supposed to b amazing.

Believe me. I love women. However, through experience in Thailand, I have found the bar girls to be a pest at times. They always say they love you and shit like that, and they never go away. If take them for one night, they will chase you for the rest of your holiday. They cry when you tell them to leave, and a lot of the time, they offer good sex, and then dont come across with the goods.
Ladyboys are highly sexed and can be more beautiful than the girls. They ALWAYS come across with the goods, and the next day there is no rubbish about 'I love you', or 'My husband die in motorcycle accident' like the girls. When you want them to go, you pay them and off they go.
Dont get me wrong, I have had some very good times with Thai girls, but I have better with the ladyboys. If I see a nice bar girl in Patong then I may go with her.
The difference between Thais and European girls is I have NEVER seen a thais girl (or ladyboy!!) with cellulite.
Even some of the skinniest girls in the Uk i have known, have had an arse which was like orange peel.
Also, some of the European girls (not all!) go around as if there shit dont stink, thinking they are wonderful. Well, they arent.
