goldfish newbie~!~!~!?

i jus bought 2 1inch ranchu goldfish & keeps them in a 1 gallon plastic container on my study table with sunlight but without air pump or filter. feed them once a day & change 70% water daily. will my fishes survive?

NO!!
For one you will need a minimum for 20 gallons
absolute absolute minimum for 2 is a 30 gallon!!
did you even cycle the tank? if you don't even know what that means, PLEASE take the fish back immediately until you fishless cycle it or they will die very very soon!

you should get a filter designed for a 40-50 gallon if you get a 30 gallon tank, because they are high-waste fish/.
You need to vacuum the gravel weekly and do 25% water changes weekly!

this would only be enough for one of them and you would need to upgrade as they grow or you would stunt it's growth, killing the fish.

No, goldfish are very hardy fish, but they won't survive for long in the set-up you're describing.

You need a much larger tank for the fish, because goldfish produce A LOT of waste in the form of ammonia, and ammonia is toxic to fish. Its good that you're doing plenty of water changes to help dilute that waste, but that causes two other problems: large water changes are physically stressful for the fish, and you're removing the only place for the beneficial bacteria to live in your "aquarium."

I suggest buying a used 10 gallon tank (or 40L) tank as a minimum, and getting a filter that's rated for tanks twice that size. The beneficial bacteria will live in the filter and make the water much more hospitable for your fish. You should also get a water testing kit so that you can make sure the ammonia and nitrite levels are remaining at 0ppm. It'll still be necessary to do regular, probably weekly, water changes to remove the nitrate that will build up in the water and to vacuum out the fish poo and other gunk that settles at the bottom of the tank.

Ranchu goldfish are really beautiful, and if properly taken care of will live many years.

I'm not sure which kind of goldfish need water circulation and which dont. But either you may want to consider getting a slightly larger container for them, just because 1 gallon is kind of small for two fish to share (I realize they arent very big). I had 2 fantail Goldfish (well now, just 1) and they have a 10 gallon tank with a filter that creates some bubbles and water circulation to oxygenate the water.

The lady told me when I bought them they should have something to move the water and told me 2-5 gallons per fish. Fan tails can get bigger but mine are still around 2 inches (including tail).

I would just suggest a little bit bigger of a tank and maybe a small filter (plus goldfish are dirty so having a filter helps reduce cleanings!)

Those two goldfish have the potential to grow 8" long a piece, excluding tail.

They need a 25-30 US gallon overfiltered, cycled, and well oxygenated tank.

In a 1 gallon they will suffer growth problems, the ever changing environment from the daily water changes will be stressing them out excessively. they will also not be getting near enough oxygen.
