Using essential oils to enhance beauty is a slow and time-consuming process, but it doesn't deteriorate the quality of skin like chemical laden products that give instant beauty but are harmful in the long run.

With the changing time and beauty concepts, people are now going beyond instant beautification and are heading towards natural and rejuvenating solutions. Topping the list in the same is Aromatherapy as the use of essential oils is trending as a slow and steady way to beautify. Detailing what essential oils are, aromatherapist Rupal Tyagi told ANI, ‘Essential oils are oils extracted out of herbs and plants. These are very beneficial and magical portions embedded in the plant life, which are extracted out with the help of distillation and other processes.’ When asked whether essential oils are capable of competing with regular beauty products, Rupal said, ‘People use chemical laden products every day, but what I believe is they should use whatever they feel like, but at the same time they should use essential oils to rejuvenate their skin as it is as important as sleeping.’ Claiming that the concept of aromatherapy is not new in the country, but is not recognised very well, the aromatherapist added, ‘I believe that in 2008 the aromatherapy market was too young to cater to, but now when people are becoming well-travelled, this market is maturing.’ (Read: 10 facts you should know about aromatherapy)
She added that a very big chunk of this therapy has evolved from India, but it has not been recognised by the name of aromatherapy and there are not many brands in the country, who serve products that are based out of aromatherapy. On one hand, where Rupal suggests that one should undergo aromatherapy in the guidance of professionals only as being a self-doctor can sometimes take a wrong turn, on the other, she claims that it can heal skin and other non-chronic diseases, like acne and cold, till a certain extent. Using essential oils to enhance beauty is a slow and time-consuming process, but it doesn’t deteriorate the quality of skin like chemical laden products that give instant beauty but are harmful in the long run.
