Dude - whats the problem with starting new threads?? I am genuinely interested why people have probs with other peeps starting new threads! No subtype of HIV is likelt to be transmitted by receiving oral sex without a condom. It is a theoretical risk and would require wounds and blood on the genitals of the receiving party and significant blood in the mouth of the giving party. For all practical purposes oral sex is relatively safe sex with or without protective barriers.

You are entirely welcome. I will say though just for some perspective. I know a lot about HIV and I personally would not perform oral sex on a man in Thailand at this point(I did do and that was a very big worry for me). Likewise, and eventhough most people will tell you that it is harder to get from a girl, while I would not advise you to worry about getting head from a prostitute or any girl here, I would not recommend you go down on her. Just to be extra cautious.

The problem is, most of us here do actually go down on thai women.

It's a danger but not many men in los want to just ''shove it in'' without the whole foreplay process 1st. Paying for sex in los is very different to the ''cold'' experience of prostituion in the western world, ie: get it over with and pay up - then leave.
More like a GFE for most people, at least if a guy sticks with 1 girl for the duration he can minimise the risk, many do butterfly though to keep out emotional hassles, myself included.

Do you have any info/perceneforum.xxxes we can take a look at regarding the risks involved for oral, giving & recieving ?

Oral sex is the most difficult quantifiable risk of all types of sex. It was thought for a long time there was "no" risk then it was called "theoretic"(which it still is in many ways) and then it was upgraded to "low" risk. You will not get statistics on oral sex as it is too hard to judge considering that most people do not ONLY perform oral sex thus it is not possible to tell whether oral sex or the subsequent sex acts caused the infections.

My only worry for guys going down on bgs here is the same it is for me when I went down on a thai guy. That worry was that you have a different strain of hiv with a different transmission strategy and as such we really do not know as most data has not been collected here but rather focused on the western world and our strain, HIV Subtype b. I doubt it is a high risk but the unkown nature of it makes me behave more cautiously. Frankly I love giving oral and never ever ever use a condom on the guy to do it but here I just do not want to take a risk I am not sure of, I would rather be around to have much more fun for a much longer time!

Guys..I've recently returned from LOS(4th TOD in 6 months) and can tell you now that I contracted my first STD - Ghonareah(probably mispelt)....I had sex on 4 occasions with 3 different girls...and used rubbers with all of them...but in the heat of the moment and with a couple of singha's in me...the rubber fell off during sex with one of them...Now I can't say for sure , but it must of been off for maybe 3 minutes...but there you have it...7 days later I had the first signs of the infection...
Fortunately it was on my flight home..so the next day I went to my local GP and he took a swaB, but I had to wait 3 days for results,,,I told him I need a solution quickly...so he gave me two different 500mg tablets to take...each costing me about $20....the pain whilst urinating was killing me so the money was never an issue....after taking the tablets, I couldn't beleive that the next morning I was fine...these things were super fast.
Anyways, what I'm trying to say is never judge a book by its cover...EVEN the most innocent girls have surprises..and accidents do happen...thanks god it was curable otherwise I'd be really pi3$#ed off now..

River I agree in part I am not interested in a HIV thread as you quoted has been discussed repeated and rehashed.
But plenty of BM's have replied so some interest is still being shown.
Also Eurogirlinthai posts i find quite intersting in this thread (not often get a girls view).

I never received oral sex with a dental dam and never have given oral sex with a condom, I find it a waste of time and like sucking plastic so I assume it would be no better for guys to use dental dams. MHO is just take it off the menu when there is a risk. With bgs it is not just HIV but also a nasty case of gonnorea of the mouth, even warts, would not be pleasant. Quite honestly I like giving oral so it is all I can do to keep these thai guys out of my mouth but I think it is just safer to not do anything unless I am sure of the person and it is a long term relationship...and I not only have test results but also trust him.

As many TG's will tell you if thier are honest Thai guys are worse than thier butterflying opposite gender.. In fact one of the often recited reasons many TG's and Thai women are looking for farangs for longer term relationships as we are percieved (rightly or wrongly) as being more loyal and monomous (stop laughing back there)... Its ingrained in the culture that a guy should have his relationship / wifey and also frequent the kareoke girls, have a mia noi, etc..

Had a long chat with a TG yesterday about just this...I do have a solution for it...take the Thai man back to the west, they are intimidated by white girls and the cultural difference changes them, she agreed my plan would work! I had an ex thai bf that was very loyal, he would never ever cheat, he was a very serious guy though. I do know most are butterflies guess I just have to clip their wings or go for another nationality!
