How much did you spend on your last trip to LOS?

well, 1st, i went to Vancouver, which was totally brand new to me so i was just excited by that
but, although, i enjoyed LOS immensely, especially those 8 months, i have never have been one to dream i was back in LOS. it may sound snobby, but i absolutely love my life at home, wether it be Boston, NYC, or Vancouver and to be honest, enjoy it much more than LOS and everytime i get on a plane to leave LOS i am pretty happy to be going home

Not sure if this has ever been done before but I’m interested to see how much BM’s spend on their trips to LOS (I did a search but could not find any relevant threads).

What I would suggest is that you add up the money you spend on airfares, hotels, taxis, food, partying, girls, presents for girls, etc… everything call that Item A.

Item B can be the total number of days spent in Los on that trip.

Item C should be the number of cities you stayed while in LOS.

Item D should be the number of ST’s during that trip.

Item E should be the number of LT’s during that trip.

Item F should be the country of residency.

I’d like to find out how much BM’s spend on average and how this varies depending on the amount of time spent in LOS. I would also like to know if there are any patterns that might show a tendency of residents of one country spending more than residents from another country, or less for that matter.

It should make for interesting reading.

You're a very good budgeter.

You can probably achieve this by keeping drink tabs to a minimum and through daily turnover of your LT's.

The budget can go west very quickly with lots of drinking including lady drinks and through GFE (support and entertain your LT's).

Very time intensive exercise you're asking for there mate. Even though I am a banker by trade and should be on top of all this :embrassed

Plus, remember that airfares etc are paid for in BMs "home currency" while most other things are paid for in Thai Baht - it's a messy exercise to add it all up. Plus, prices vary depending on season.

As IJ pointed out, theres been other threads on this.

But generally speaking, I spend around 1500 Baht per day on a guesthouse/hotel room (I normally travel in peak season) and about 4000 Baht per day on entertainment. Day trips to islands etc are all "extras".

I know what I can afford and spend accordingly.

On my last trip it was my last day and I knew I was down to the bare bones on my 1st current account, so got 5000Baht out of my 2nd account to finnish of the holiday.

Well I'd say it sounds a fortune but then I'm looking at it from the point that if you live here for 5 months you do not hit it every night.

Then I thought about the fact it was Pad and he travelled a fair bit whilst over here and when not travelling, being Irish he hit it pretty hard every night, so no thats not a lot, but then he is a bit kheeneow and falsely accuses people of half inching his umbrellas all the time............................... feck thats how he got it in the first place!!!!!
