How often can essential oils be used for scalp massage?

Hello. I know, ANOTHER essential oils question lol

Can they be used daily?
Every 2 days?
1x a week?

or does it differ from oil to oil?

I'm currently using Jojoba, Cedarwood and Rosemary. Iv ebeen told i can use that as a daily moisturizer.
I think all the people who have stated that essential oils dont work have got their facts a bit muddled up

They don't actually do anything apart from make you oily so as much as you like!

it depends on the thickness o oi used.. if its a light one like what ur using now can be used alternate days... but don wash yr hair immediately after applying it, it ll lead to a bit o hair fall....

That's true, they can be used as a moisturiser as long as they're mixed with an unperfumed base cream/moisturiser. Don't put the essential oils straight onto your skin everyday.

For scalp massage you can use them as often as you like - make sure you read any warnings or packaging you are given with them though, as some of them are unsuitable for dry skin, pregnant women, epileptic women and people with different skin disorders. The aroma and chemicals in there can cause allergic reactions or set of an epileptic fit, so be careful!

As long as you dilute the essential oil into a carrier (like jojoba,) It's safe to use every day! I'm a massage therapist and use oils every day with no problems. Lavender oil is the only one I've heard of that's safe to use directly on the skin.

Jojoba is a really good carrier to use but is actually not an oil at all but a wax. Other good daily moisturizers are grapeseed oil and olive oil. If you can eat it you can use it! I would try different ones and find your favorite.

If you like using it every day but feel it's making your scalp/face too oily, try using aromatherapy in different ways. You can put a little on your pillow at night, mix with water for a body spray/room spray, or add some to your shower/bath.
