How Often?

Hey, how often do you guys get massages? I’m still super new and I’m having to force myself to not go more than once per week. Do you all have more self restraint? Lol TIA

I have been going almost once a week as well. I keep telling myself to cut back but somehow I manage to make it work. For me I don't really do much of anything else so it's one my pleasures in life. I work my main job and do other things on the side, so if this is my guilty pleasure then so be it. The only time I will cut back is if my usual preferred providers are away. I have a hard time to try anywhere new.

If you can afford it? Have at er! I think there is a chunk of us limited to our insurance coverage and maybe a few more. Some of us can afford more often.
I would think it better spent on a good massage (+/- extras) than an arm full of drugs or a uncontrolled drinking problem.
If it doesn’t effect your relationships (married or single) and your not doing a deep dive into credit card debt, fill your boots boy!!

I try to limit myself to once per month though a few times when I have had some extra available cash I've gone every two weeks. I agree- if you're going into debt or can't pay the rent, you've got a problem!

I’ve been at this about 15 years and typically go once a week now. When I started in my early 40’s I would typically venture out two to three times a week. Over the years I have found providers that have different strengths and techniques that provide relief in various parts of the body so I have picked four that I rotate on a four week cycle (28 days in case it isn’t obvious enough what I mean here) and if I get a sudden urge ( which happens on occasion) I will walk in to try a location reviewed on this platform or recommended from private member discussions.

I used to average 4-5 times a month, but covid times got it up to 8-9 times per month, now backing off some. Two thirds of my visits, past year were with one provider. Now broadening the scope again with more travel.

Not rich, but put in effort to get to know a therapist or two (that I find attractive) really well. Once they are sure that we won't be posting things that damages their status with insurance, and they are confident that you are truly repeat-loyal, a more mutually beneficial, cost effective program gets worked out. For independent therapists, having some assurance of steady revenue contributors month after month has value. This is a seek, and you shall find proposition. Not easy, but possible.

I've been at this for some time now as well. When I first started it was just once a week but then I got really hooked and was going 2 or 3 times a week as I was trying every massuese I could hoping for that elusive, perfect massage, with as many extras as I could get. Well, it took some time but I finally got control and cut back to once a week, then twice a month, which was way easier on the bank account. Now I just stick to once a month with a few regular ladies.

Thanks - only took me an hour to realize I had no clue where my age was in my profile, thought it was the second glass of bourbon that was messing me up Almost went for a massage to clear my thoughts

Typically every month I will go for -

- 2 massages where I leave happy

- 1 legit massage

- 1 chiropractor visit for an adjustment

- 1 visit for cupping or acupuncture

- 1 to 2 FS sessions at a massage parlour or visit one of the CAF girls

Semi-legit and legit massages combined, about 6 massages a month. If you count incalls and micros as well, it will be about 12 monthly. It may sound like a lot but compared to my buddies with exwifes, my habit is a lot cheaper.

I definitely spent more than $30k last year.

There was one time i spent nearly 800$ a week for massage ( 3 different ladies , saw 1lady twice)
I spent around 12K last year and all cash.
Bad habits and i kinda take it easy now. Lol

The spend should be managed relative to one's overall financial situation. Period. All other obligations met, investments, savings, RRSPs, TFSAs taken care of, and then the hobby. During covid, I spent more on the hobby because our other freedoms to travel etc were arbitrarily controlled by making it difficult. So I spent more on massages and local intimacies. Now as we move back into travel and other interests, this hobby will command less spend. Pretty simple.
