How old until I introduce my dog to other dogs?

I have a 3 week old puppy. He is a mix between a yorky and something else. Point is that he is small and fragile. I want to be able to take him to the dog park without him fighting. How do i go about and do this?

....you have no business having a 3 week old puppy..it shouldnt be away from its mother and shouldnt be around in a dog park until it has full vaccinations.

ASAP... be careful about the other dog makes sure it is a passive dog who had a good history with other dogs... you want your dog to get used to being about other dogs very young so they know how to be sociable.... and not fight with other dogs all the time.. another reason why you want it be around a dog with a good history with other dogs

Don't take a 3week old puppy to a dog park!!!! Your puppy should not go where other dogs have been, or around other dogs other than your own, until 3 weeks after it's third puppy booster. Unless you would like it to get sick. Learn about the Parvo virus! This pup should be with it's mother till it's 8wks old and not be exposed to other dogs!

When your pup is 8 weeks old he should get Booster #1
3 weeks Later Booster #2
3 weeks Later Booster #3

3 weeks after all three booster have been given you can take it to a dog Dog Park!

you probably just want to get his shots and wait till he's less fragile. or maybe hold him while your introducing him to other dogs (so he feels safe and secure). hope this helped =]

3 weeks old?????? how on earth did you get a 3 week old puppy??!? you are never ever sopposed to let the puppy leave its mother until at least 8 weeks, if you do, it can cause serious developemental and behavioral problems.
Do not take it around other dogs until at least 9 weeks for sure. You want to expose the dog to other dogs as soon as possible, but your puppy is wayyyyyyyyyy to young. Its vision is not even fully devoloped yet.
3 week old puppy scares me...it should be with its mother and litter mates.

Start him off early... bring a dog (friend's dog) to your house. Make sure it has all of it's shots. The more your puppy is around other dogs, the more he will get used to the fact with them being around.

You should wait until the puppy is a few months old and if you have any friends with dogs invite them over so your dog isn't shocked when he/she first sees a whole bunch of dogs! Then as he/she gets used to them being around then bring she/he to the dog park.

Right away, dont let them get near him to hurt him but close enough to sniff around. I have a friend who raised her dog like a human and never let him around other dogs until it was too late. now her dog is a beast and is so hyper, wont stop barking at dogs, hes a mess. I say now.

Three weeks old is pretty young, he's not even weaned yet.

I say give him some time to grow up and flesh out a little. Being small and fragile, like you said, is definitely something to consider into your calculations about when and where to socialize him. Taking him to a dog park would be somewhat risky while he's still such a tiny guy, because some dogs are positively enormous (especially to him!). Try socializing him with a friend's dog with whom you are familiar, before tossing him into a pack of strangers and expecting him to be friendly and confident.

Socialization is important to the development, behavior, and happiness of any dog and should be handled carefully and with dedication. Be mindful of your dog's moods, reactions, and body language as well as the dogs you're introducing him to. If he seems frightened, comfort him. If he's being threatened, come to his aid. If he's hitting it off with another dog, praise him openly. It takes time, and every dog is different.
