Hey guys:
I only drove to TJ. my first time in there and it was in late 70's .
The traffic and parking problem in TJ. completely stopped Me and not
really my cup of tea. I now always park in this side of border for 6 or 7
bucks a day and walk into TJ . or get a bus to Revolucion. Not a worry
for anything , I can have problem free by walking and enjoy the Zona Norte
for ever.

Border Station, UTEP and other lots on the US side of the boarder are reasonably secure. You'll find them off the last I-5 exit before crossing into Mexico.

There are also reasonably secure lots in Tijuana. I've used the parking lot located on 9th between Madero and Revolcion many, many times without having a problem. I have a friend who parks his new Covette there when he takes it to TJ.

Those who are unfamiliar with the way locals drive in Tijuana probably would be more comfortable parking in the US. If you are just starting to drive in TJ I suggest you "practice" during daylight hours.

he is talking about border parking, I have a real nice car and have parked border parking like 4 times it really secure and u always see nice cars there nothing to worry about and you just walk through... dont drive in tijuana though. You guys coming from HB we comin from Newport beach hah if u are comin aug 11-13 hit us up peace.

There have been some medical studies done on HIV and STDs. (Some of the reuslts are contridictory.)

In general, the HIV rate in TJ is about half what it is in San Diego. STD rates are less than equal to that of the population at large in California.

One researcher called the TJ putas "choir girls" when compared to their US counter parts. Most are single moms trying to feed a family, which usually means they are healthier than US hookers.

Practicing safe sex is always prudent. Many guys don't and I'm surprised we don't hear of more monger with problems.

I'm going to TJ for the first time, and I was wondering how safe is the "business" down there? Have any of you guys gotten STDs over there, even WITH protection? A lot of my friends and cousins have gone there, multiple times, they came back alright, but I was just wondering. It's pretty nerve racking too since I just turned 18.
