I Made It! Yeah!

So, Saturday was my last day of class.

I made it through school! I passed! I didn't go (too) crazy!

I am so PROUD of myself I can't stand it! I'm so relieved that it's over. I cried all the way home just from the utter relief. t089 Some of you know what I've been through this year. It's been one mess after another.

But none of that matters now. I'm done.

Graduation is August 2nd.

I've already started studying for the NCETMB. :yikes:

Yes! This Saturday I'm going for a 2-hour Thai massage from my favorite MT.

Next Thursday my best friends, my sister, and her husband and son are coming up from Raleigh and Asheville to go to my graduation with my hubby and me. We're going out for awesome vegetarian food after than, and then, the next day, the girls are getting massages (I get to watch - ha ha) and hair cuts woo hoo! And, manicures and pedicures if I've got anything to say about it.

And we're all going hiking. Because I haven't been all summer.

Don't sweat the NCETMB too much. If you know your stuff (and you should if you just graduated), it won't be too hard. Get one of the study guides and review the material you are least familiar with. IMHO, the NCETMB is a reasonable BASELINE exam, not something that requires any kind of advanced knowledge.

Thanks for all of your congratuationses ! Today is the first day that it's really hitting me. If it wasn't over, I'd be in class right now, and you know what? I'M NOT IN CLASS! I'm thinking about swinging by the Kung Fu school and seeing the old gang there.

JasonE, I wish you were right that I won't need to study too much. But there were parts of my program that left a lot to be desired :banghead:. I guess you can only fit so much into 570 hours, and with instructors being paid almost nothing, well.... Yeah. :roll: Ya get what ya pay for (And that goes for me too with tuition at $65.00 a semester).

ANYWAY, I've got a lot of work ahead of me, and a good deal of self-teaching to do, but I'm confident that I can do it. I've never met a test I couldn't beat. And I've got a great mentor and access to the program director if I need them. t045

If you want it to be an enjoyable experience, it will be. Don't let negativity stand in the way of positive thinking. Break right on through and keep on keeping on...

It was an enjoyable experience for me, but I was really tired by the time I got out too! Part of me was feeling UNready and wanting to learn more since some things we just touched on (no pun intended) while another part of me was ready to get out and get started. The hardest thing for me, still, is choosing my CEU's so that I can be the best at a few rather than having a little knowledge of many. I remember Bliss posting about it being better to be a master at one modality than have a base knowledge of so many. I am eager to learn, learn, learn, but If I've learned anything, it's that there isn't enough of 'me' to learn everything, so I'm learning the most important thing... taking it one step at a time. Ugh! lol
