HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Several reports of illicit sexual activities around Owensboro have prompted several arrests.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says on Tuesday, detectives along with KSP troopers, KSP detectives, special agents from Homeland Security Investigations, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the FBI, executed search warrants at two locations in the county as part of an eight-month long investigation.
Officials state the investigation began after the sheriff’s office received tips from the public in July 2024 alleging illicit sexual activity at East Spa and Bloom 88.
Officials say hundreds of hours of surveillance and dozens of “John-stops” led to the search warrants. During the searches, numerous items were reportedly found that supported the allegations including numerous opened and unopened condoms, large amount of US currency, sexual clothing and items that indicated sexual activity, bank records, wire transfers to banks and locations in China, ledgers and credit card receipts.
Officials also say the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are anticipated.
The following suspects have been taken into custody and have been charged with the following:
