I'm a massage therapist. I just had knee surgery. Can I still do my job?
Was told never to run again, to avoid further damage to my knees. I use my knees a lot in my job, so will continuing my career after healing be bad for my knees?

if u have to stand a lot i would say no , at least not until it heals fully

You will need several weeks of intense physical therapy to complete your recovery, and should be able to gradually resume your career. It's different from running - your knees won't have to endure the pounding they'd take from running - but you may also find that prolonged standing is not advisable either. So like I said - return to work gradually, and only when your physiotherapist and MD say it's okay. And a very strong hint: a chiropractor is NOT the proper person to provide the therapy you and your knees need!
