I haven't been into the massage scene for a while, but I want to go (not sure why - I guess I just miss it a little). I'm going to be up near the North York IKEA (Leslie and Sheppard) this afternoon and was wondering if there's anywhere worthwhile (5 or 10 minute drive) near there.

Quick answers would be most appreciated - I'm heading out in about 15 minutes (it's nearly 2:00 Wed. afternoon now).

Closest would be Platinum at Sheppard and Allen (on sheppard west of allen)
Body and Soul @ Dufferin and Bridgeland (153 Bridgeland)

Both are close to yorkdale mall.

Platinum will have on average better looking girls but higher price.... you'll need a maximum of 140/150 for 30 min.

At B&S you'll need a max of 140 for 60 min.

Alphacare is on Finch west of Dufferen in the buidling just west of the Gym on the north side of the street. Cheap place but not a very good place overall.

I believe. Blue Pearl is on Dufferin a block or two north of Bridgeland. Don't know much about the place.

Thanks for the quick reply - I was hoping (I should have said) for something a little east of there as I'll be going that way after I'm done with my appt. I know Star is on Kennedy, but they never answer their phone and I understand that like the Studio B days, you need an appointment - any other recommendations?

Next time go to my Google Earth page (see link in sig) download Google Earth, and my massage files, and you can take a virtual drive heading east on Sheppard and see if what you run into .. then come here and search for information on anything that looks interesting.

Thanks guys. Woolf I did download your google earth thing and encountered severe problems (sorry). It totally screwed around with my internet - I had to run a bunch of virus scans and uninstall it before I could get it back working again. I don't know if it was your program but my problems started within 1/2 hour of installing it and stopped completely after I got rid of it. Maybe it was just my computer, I dunno.

Well, Google Earth is not "My" program ... it's Googles' program, and I seriously doubt that they put it out with a virus, but it is possible that it screwed up your system .. what version of Windows are you running.

"My" portion of this is simply "location files", which are nothing more than zipped up data files, with next to nil chance that there could be a virus in them.

Sorry about the problem you encountered, but I would be interested in the details of your system, in case it is an incompatibility between Google Earth and the specific system you are using ... I can warn people with similar systems not to use Google Earth if we can determine a specific cause.

Thanks for the heads up guys ... I'll do a little tech research to see if this is a common problem with GE, and post and warning or fixes that might be necessary.

Anyone with GE problems I would appreciate hearing about them.

OK, from what I can tell both problems (virus alerts and graphics problems) are known issues on some machine configurations:

The virus problem seems to be one of the virus scanner being too paranoid (http://earth.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=20714&query=virus&topic=&type=f )

The video problem is a little more complicate, and could have several causes depending upon your video card. Google Earth uses either DirectX or OpenGL. Some video cards work better under one or the other. In this specific case I would try configuring Google Earth to use one, then the other to see which one works best ... or even possibly checking to make sure your cards specific video drivers are up to date and that you are using the latest versions of DirectX and / or OpenGL.
