Is it normal to feel like this after a massage?
I got a hot stone massage today, which is supposed to work on a deeper level than Swedish massage to relax your muscles, etc. I've been really tense lately, so that's why I opted for this one.
Anyway, I drank plenty of water before the massage, but during it I started to feel parched and dry. I've been drinking lots of water all day, but I'm wondering why I felt so thirsty? I had never heard of massage causing dehydration until today when it started to feel that way during the massage.
Also, I'm not as relaxed as I hoped I would feel. I'm just really sore--my body feels kind of like a deadweight. And can someone tell me what the actual facts regarding toxins are? I've heard that there are toxins in our body that a functional liver should be able to get rid of, but are there really more toxins stirred up by massage?
