Ok my husband has had shoulder pain (around and between his shoulder blades.) He is one of those people who hate doctors. I finally got him to go and they referred him to a ortho. He went to the ortho and he said there is def something wrong, which he thought to be the muscles/tendons...maybe a torn muscle or somethign of that nature. He has had the pain for years. After taking x-rays and seeing there were no bone issues...he gave him a cortisone shot, in his shoulder and said come see him in a month....it felt better for a short while and now 2 weeks later he is in pain again.
He is unable to get into the ortho for another week, and he was never perscribed pain/over the counter anti inflammatories, so wondering if massage maybe a good alternative for this kind of injury (until he can get into the ortho and get a more intensive scan, like mri or whatever they do to check the muscles out.)
