I jacked my job and took 12 months off. Now I'm back in the land of the rain, wind and no sun.

Hoping to go back though for xmas and new year.

Hi Drew,

Its good to see somebody in England who realises the place is shite and has had the balls to go and have some fun. Once you go to the 'Promised Land', it gets under your skin. You cannot explain it to your friends or family, but you know that holidays to Greece or Ibeeeza are a waste of time. Are you ever going to go to Benidorm in the Costa Blanca. No chance. Thailand everytime.
Keep the quality photos coming, and if you are in Patong at xmas, I will see you there. My next tour of duty is November 8th for 8 days, then back to England. THEN, on the 14th December I go back out for 3 weeks. Its a tough life...........

I do agree about this part, but I have to say that I enjoyed Cuba, Bali, DR...as much as Thailand.

However, what I don't like is that the winter has arrived here in Sweden today -5c and snow when I got up this morning and more than one month left until it's time for me to go to Thailand.

It's long haul flights for me evrytime now. The poor service and attitude you get from hosts in European countries is a disgrace. I agree - Cuba is a hospital destination, but Castro has put a right dampner on the tourist and girlie front.

Japanese women are usually quite 'up for it' on holiday but don't like to stray out of the group (if they're in one) and can generally quite shy.
A lot of fun once they're on their own though.
