Saw her this week, she must have edged me for over 30 min, jaysus. She was a DIY'er at XP, those days are gone and she's got skills.

I’ve read the reviews and even dug into the historical reviews looking for something to help me understand what this new local was about as well as the ladies in its employ. I’d say I did my homework but in the end I wasn’t as impressed as I’d hoped.

I booked by text and visited this week. Was met by Anna. An older lady with a rather unfortunate mole between her eyes on her eyebrow ridge.
She was warm enough and seemed to want to start a conversation, though nothing ever really stuck.
The room was very inviting and the in room shower a huge bonus. The table was strong and comfortable, and the space/amenities a step above most. Anna wire scrubs and a mask, legit enough, though on the flip a plastic face shield was employed, I guess she’s had a few rather unfortunate explosions that warranted the extra PPE.
From the start you could tell they were a bit understaffed. Nothing is worse than walkins and no one to greet them but the masseuse already working on you. I’d say at least 3 men were turned away during my 1hour visit.
Anna asked if I wanted “Medium” for which I expressed my particular ailments and needs. She started trying to focus on what I had pointed out but it wasn’t exceptional nor therapeutic. Struck after stock turned from focusing on the massage and more about my asscrack and very obvious brushes with the LG. Now I ain’t one to turn down a good tease and I know if I wanted a really good massage I was at the wrong place but she was so close so many times to really making that massage a solid 8 and ended up with a 5.

I will agree though, Anna’s edging is top knotch. I’ve only had that level once before with Ming at TT/XP but this was better as she really denied me over and over again. By the time I succumbed it was explosive, but I wonder if the result was from the edging or the complete lack of sexuality in the delivery. Scrubs, face shield, low light, and little else.

The shower was really welcome, less because I use them regularly, in fact the opposite, I rarely do. However Anna layered the oil so thick on my front I really had no choice. Oh and once again, for the love of god please provide shampoo thais clearly marked shampoo, both bottles spewing a white soft conditioner looking goo makes it almost impossible to figure out which is which.

All in all I walked away happy, Anna is a nice lady and I am likely to return, but Kai Li is nothing special.
Something else to consider, they don’t offer receipts. I personally don’t pursue receipts from the semi legit places except on the first visit, just to see how well they manage that. Anna told me straight out they don’t provide receipts for insurance.

Have to say if that’s the case, they better step it up in other ways if they want to complete.

Does this mean the XP group will be losing their customers to this new entity? We all have our personal budgets. And even though I am all for loyalty with one or two or three providers, if the overall 'satisfaction index' proves to be measurably higher elsewhere, then it is time to move on. I'm already thinking ahead - which therapists will earn my 2022 spend? This place is sounding like a good place.

Dunno what's happening to XP. I called to book a massage and was told to go to TT because XP was closed for a week. I meant to stop by the shop to see if they had a notification with more detais as it was difficult communicating with the girl on the phone with little to no English skills. With TT and now KLM opening- all in the same neighbourhood- I can't see XP staying open with lower prices.

Imho, KLMT is the competitor to XP/TT. TT is the better appointed, more spacious sister spa to XP, but also more expensive. I would go for a one hour massage at TT, but will prefer a 90 minutes or 2 hour session at XP. With same provider who will travel to either. Managing total costs is important, especially after insurance paid massage budget is all used up, by May or June of the year .

KLM is not part of XP/TT, or is it? Moving away from the insurance receipt business puts it in another category. It also broadens the types of masseuses and massages that may become available. Certainly an interesting addition to choices.

Kai Li is NOT part of XP/TT, 100% certain of that. I think they're trying to sort out where they fit. The newest girls (Candy and Angel) are much closer to AMP staff than anyone at XP/TT. But Sisi is/was (not sure if she's still there) was completely legit.

Or the dominant Asian run signage company in Edmonton has good people working in business development and they know how to gain customers . In terms of having the same look.. you need to see the front windows of the money laundering AMP outfits in Calgary. They all look the same.

LOL, yes, that company did the signs for my businesses too; that dominant Asian run signage company is actually very good for all sorts of signs, not just massage business ones.
