Lesbian, Newbie and would apreciate some advice?

ok dont laugh first of all, this is already hard enough but ill say it anyways. Im an 18 year old girl and it took me a while to figure out but most of all, to accept to myself that im gay. So its given me a lot a problems but after a while i came around to it and now im like so ready to be out. Some of my friends already know but i havent told all of them. Now im not planning to be ALL out, ill just tell my closest persons.

The thing is ive never gone out with someone and thats kind of embarrasing at times. First of all i never liked boys and have no luck with girls, Cuz believe me, IVE TRIED but theyre always straight or have a girlfriend =( but mostly theyre straight.

So im really looking for love, and now i even felt confident ennough to start going to gay clubs but i haven really found a girl a like a lot, and when i do im not really sure ill know how to aproach them cuz i think i really get nervous. Plus i dont know very many lesbians, mostly i have gay friends and when i go to gay clubs i go with a gay guy and i think it also makes my shy that hes there watching me if i try hiting on a girl. I always give girls the stare and they respond well to that but im too shy to talk to them and im not sure i would know how.

does anyone of you girls have an advice to this? i would apreciate it!

Male here, but seriously, there's no shame in trying the online thing. There are some good sites out there like "plenty of fish" that are free, are safe, and are as discreet as you want them to be.

There are plenty of women in your situation that aren't JUST looking for sex, so online's actually a decent way to meet people, and I actually find that meeting someone online isn't really that awkward, especially if you spend a lot of time talking to the person on the phone before you get to meet them.

The bars are no way to shop around for a healthy relationship, and people you happen upon are rarely even close to what you actually are looking for.

Well for me, I've never bothered caring about the other ones sexuality. If you like a girl enough than she's obviously not too shallow, and if you like her a lot, it's probably because she's also sending you signals, so even if she says she's straight, you could be an exception, I've been the exception in ALL my relationships and several have been very great long relationships.

As for talking to girls, approaching the ones you find attractive, all you really have to do is build up the guts to go over there and say; 'Hey, can I buy you a drink?' Before long you'll get really good at approaching girls and you'll start to get creative on your own, best of luck!
