I was just in Phuket last week and could not believe how expensive it was to take a bargirl long time, 600 for the bar and 2000 for the girl all night.

I was in Phuket 18 months ago during july and it was half that price exactly. Maybe its just a high season price, anybody else find the prices higher than normal?.Thanks,

The "level" is whatever you say it is. The people who I've been reading from over a long time say just go with someone and put the appropriate amount under their cell phone the next morning. You decide what that amount should be.

It's Thailand. If you ask the price of anything, you always get an inflated price, just in case the customer doesn't know better and says "sure". Don't bother to even ask - just do what you feel is right the next morning.

Many people have two prices, the first that is said in the bar, where it's important because of this *face* thing, and the other what they really want and or expect. The last time I was there, the lady said one price in the bar, with all her friends around. Was too high, so nothing happened. Then I saw her outside, and the price was right back to where most people say it is - 500 ST and 1000 LT.

when i was there in jan, 2k was about average for a nice looking girl. seemed to be up a little from last year same time frame. have never been there during the low season so cant really relate.
at some of the bars in tiger i was quoted 4k and 5k a by a couple of really hot girls. a little too high for my blood, but one girl told me she had a 5k short time the week before that took her to one of the resorts in koh lak.
i guess if he can afford to stay there he can afford the higher LT fee.

If a girl, who in your opinion is a 'stunner' (One mans beauty is another mans......etc Whatever) and she asks a potential customer for 2/3/4 or even 5K (Jeeez) for an over-nighter (or even one hour) and gets it, then job done! I am only a couple of years older than you and Peesua (Butterfly, i.e. no steady GF out here) and I pay 1K plus a little more as and when I feel the 'urge' If, I feel that maybe, after a fun time (The leather flying helmet and the two sticks of celery kind of fun time) and she deserves a little more, I will give her a couple of hundred more. BF's I pay, again, if they are not asking for silly money. (Don't forget the girl gets (or should) half of that, which is good, but I am not prepared to pay the bar owners rent because he got a crap deal on the bar and pushes his prices up) Plus.......I am velly hansuuum maaaaan so maybe get a discount here and there! 55555

I am guessing and others can put me right, that 90% of the BF prices in Patong are still 300 Baht give or take 100 Baht. It's very rare I see the same girl twice and I am not sure I have been with an ugly bird yet! Shut up Duncan. Yes, I live here now, but you don't get a discount for that with a girl who has never seen you before! Come on holiday and tell them you live here and see how much she knocks you down too!

The forum is here to give advice to people visiting Phuket, if they chose to read that advice and note that 1K +/- with a 300 Baht +/- BF is the norm or the average and when 'asked' for 5K for a ST and the 'little head' caves into that! Then what more can I say! Put your hand in your pocket and pay her or move on to the next 'stunnier' stunner.

Again, up to you, your holiday, your money, your stunner, your memories.

Thanks for putting that in perspective Denver, because the first two posts made it seem like things are over the top.

No doubt that prices fluctuate, and generally go up. So if I heard that 1500 was becoming the trend for a BG in Phuket, I would accept that.
At the rate of 2-4k or even 5k, I would carefully and seriously consider my destination.

In December I paid 300 BF & LT was 1,000. Paid her 1,500 though - she was worth it. Next was same BF & 2,000 LT. Initial reaction was sh1t, that's doubled (different bar, different soi), but then realised it's only 500 more than the other BG got. Not sure if I was involved in a "Dutch Auction", but there appeared to be someone else looking to BF her too - so maybe I had to match his price...

I kinda disagree with you there Nels, if the 2am closing is here to stay then assuming the girls dont all flee from Patong, low season is fastly approaching and there will be far more BG's to customer ratio.... as i said before its gonna be a buyers market and i think the BG's will quickly learn, as the shrewd business women they are, that 1000B in the pocket is better than fcuk all..... its not like they have Tai Pan and Safari to grab a late ride.....

My point was sort of that the price is as much up to you as to the girl, but if she senses that you're going to pay 2K or more, why not try for it? Hey, those beautiful Rolex watches you see for sale can be bought for far less than the 2K that someone might first tell you.

Maybe i look like i did and i dont know because i had gone from loving the girls attitude and great service to having a rough time even getting a good conversation going with them and no hope of getting a good price for short time or long time.

I was told time and time again short time 1 hour 1000 baht and long time 2000 baht, lowest price ( depending on the girl of course)

been walking back to the SB each night for the past week MWM and watching the transactions going on whilst stumbling along and stopping for a burger at the cart on Soi San Sabai.....just anecdotal I know but the tgals are still asking for 2k flat out...whether the mao punters are negotiating better or not I can't be 100% sure but most conversations that aren't immediately met with arms linking seem to be ending with the gal walking away with her nose in the air.....also 100s of gals on motorbikes speeding down the soi solo...

have they got a union or something???....my thoughts are there are a lot of phone numbers being used around 2.30-4.00am.....that's my MO and mostof tyhe BMs I know...but agree if something doesn't give soon on closing times these negotiations should start to favour the punter
