As a couple who go to LOS to enjoy the bar scene I have to agree that we don't need to use this site as an advertising site. But there's no problem in my mind that a couple should be able to post they will be in LOS at a given date and invite others to join them for a drink at a given bar. This is no different than other members on here advertising that they will be in LOS and are looking for drinking buddies.

We always tell the Board when we are going to LOS and have met a few of Board members and enjoyed drinking with them and listening to their stories. As newbies back in 2005, a few members took us in and showed us the ropes and we will always be grateful for the friendship and their advice.
