Lotion Holster

So, I had been meaning to write this thread for quite sometime and someone over on the student forum sparked me to it.  

I am adding the thread here too in case someone missed it.  It is an excellent combination my husband is using for his holster.  I do hope it helps someone.

My husband is using a case that is not designated as a massage case, which really IS worth it, if you want something that doesn't strap all the way around you!

It has a small clip on the back and he is able to clip it over his waistband or at a pocket.   It also has a clip in the front to close the holster over the bottle.  It is made out of a neoprene material.  If he uses a bottle with a flip top, then he does not use the front clip over it.  If he uses a bottle with a pump, he puts the front clip over and across the bottle portion so that just the pump is sticking out.

hey texas gal.... I am too a holster HHP!! I am totally lost without my oil holster and feel kind of naked without it around my waist.... Your husbands idea and use of that product is cool.. i also know of therapists i work with that doesnt like the strap around their waist. Fortunatly, we wear belts around out pants/shorts so he just loops the belt through the strap hole and threads the belt in the usual manner.. so the belt is the strap of the holster! I've actually come up with this idea.. I've used a waist pack that hikers use that have water bottle holders on the side. Mine has two water bottle holders so i experimented with 1) holding an oil bottle(w/ pump) and 2) a lotion bottle. With the actual "fannie pack" part, with the large pocket, i carried wooden knobbers, foot cream, gum, reflexology cards, little aroma therapy bottles, and even my watch.! I kind of look like a dork but i was surprised of the mobility i still had since the bottles were still at my side and the pocket w/ all that stuff was behind me.. All it is Texas gal is a fannie pack with two "watter bottle holders" on either side of the pocket. I found it years ago at a hiking/camping store and was messing around w/ it and tried it for a massage holster! I'll check and see what name it is....if i can find the thing....lol. I am actually back to using my standard one oil bottle holster...I'm one of the quickest pumps you'll ever see!! ha!                                   --- Take care,, Keoni

HI guys, hopeyou are having a great day.  I use a cordless phone holster that my wife bought at a home improvment center (Menards).  It is black, with a metal clip to hook on pockets or waist bands or belts.  It has a cord with a cincher........like some sweatshirts or coats have...........to tighten it around the bottle/phone.  It was only about $5............I just use a bottle with a pump, I really like it.  Great thread as usual, Tex!  mick

I also use a jar holster, and while it is annoying when if creeps under a shirt (answer - tuck them in during the massage), I like being able to wear it loose enough that I can move it from side to side or to the back or front as convenient to me.  Can you do that on these clip ons? I have had several customers comment on how much smoother the massage flows while I'm using the holster.  No stops in the flow!Barbara

If you used the clip on with a belt of it's own, you could almost hula with it.  Sometimes I clip mine on my pocket sometimes on my belt, then it is just between beltloops of course.  Not too big of a deal to move it left to right side but the clip does someitmes snap or ring. mick

This is actually my 1st post ever...so I am Fresh Hands as they say... :, but I found y'all a few days ago and registered today.  I am looking for a lotion holster too and have read several of your posts on this topic.  It is difficult I find to keep a consistent flow in the massage without one and am looking for one soon.

I've got the red one featured on the Better Massage Holder home page. It is absolutely beautiful and very well made. I've had it for about a year and still love it, every time I put it on I'm glad I bought it.

Lotion Holster

2 really cute ideas that I love:

1) Make a belt with a piece of ribbon (of your choice, color and thickness), 2 D-rings (bought at any sewing or craft store). Create your own little oil or lotion holders with fabric, or ribbon, or a piece of velco and then clip it to the belt (or make a loop to slide through the belt!) This is a very easy project and can also be done with hot glue or iron on stitching!

2) Either sew, or buy an apron (you could buy one decorated or plain and decorate to your hearts content!) I recommend one with pockets! Attach a oil or lotion holder (made of your choice!) with loops, clips, a ribbon, etc! Very easy and cute and fun to personalize.
