Mai Thai Bar - a great little bar

Just back from Thailand, and can barely type due to a severe case of the post-LOS blues. Am really down in the dumps about being back into the grind of everyday life :

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I had a some great visits to Mai Thai Bar while I was there. It is a top little bar, very friendly, and there's no pressure to do this or that by anyone whilst you are there (other than to have a good time!).

Got talking on my first night (about 2 weeks ago) to one of the girls who was leaving the next day (to Germany I think?). I can't remember her name - I am terrible remembering names. She was a sweetie with such beautiful eyes. I also recall chatting to Kwan(?), and another girl (again, can't recall her name) who gave me a lovely chilled-towel with my beer on a particularly warm night. I wish I could recall her name; I talked to her about kangaroo shooting, and she made me laugh, and vice versa.

The post-LOS blues are indeed painful. On my first day back, I was already on the travel websites checking airfares....

Now I feel better equipped to contribute to this board - have something useful to add on the different discussion topics.

As for the 'roo shooting, quite truthfully I told the girl at MTB that kangaroos are culled in this country, and they are definitely not in short supply like pandas and whales (which I wouldn't shoot, unless one was attacking me...heh heh). I also informed her we eat 'roos on the BBQ (also true)! But you have to cook them to beyond medium-rare, or else they will hop off your plate!! She liked that gag - the laugh was genuine I wish I could remember her name.

LOS Blues is always curable - just book your next trip back over. Kanga steaks - delicious .... maybe ask Nicke for a kanga BBQ when your over next.

Nice to Nicke going into the fashion biz - the Mrs very impressed with the baseball cap Nicke (she's taken it off me) ... so I dont think I'll get a chance to wear it again.

Restaurant in Chalong Mr Sopranos has Roo steaks on the menu, not sure if they always have in stock though.

They also have Crocodile steaks! Worth a try though you should have to wrestle it first.

feed my greyhounds roo meat have to add fat (suet) to there diet as roo meat has no fat content.
think I will keep it for them not keen on eating skippy,the meat is very dark and has a strong smell.

Welcome back. I wonder if you had a chance to track down Nang [my report on Phuket] My trip to Pattaya was ok but everything is very commercial and so are the girls. Planning my next trip to Phuket as early as April when you can have return airfare and eight days accomodation for about $1200 from Perth, but it's at the Horizon Beach [3000 joiner] Will try other packages.

Yes, it does sound like her Doj. I had just met her for the first time, so I didn't pry too much to find out why she was travelling etc. We just sat down and had a couple of drinks and chatted like friends would - wow, what a first experience at MTB.



Gday lucky. I had Nang's details with me, and tried at one point, but with no success. I didn't press any further - because I didn't want to come across as some kind of stalker! ie. "Have you seen this girl?" There were so many beautiful girls there.

Interesting to hear your thoughts on Pattaya. I think I will stick to Phuket, even if Pattaya is a bit cheaper all-round. I also reckon spending a couple of nights in Bangkok beforehand makes you appreciate the virtues of Phuket even more - perhaps something for you to think about.

Hmmm....I saw in the newspaper today an offer from Flight Centre for return flights and 4 nights accommodation in Bangkok and 3 nights in Phuket (and I assume a flight between the two centres) for $A1039. Not sure if that is net or gross of taxes and charges. The hotels probably suck - not GF - so you'd need to add a bit of wedge onto the cost. 3 nights in PHK is far far too little - not sure if you can add extra nights or not to that deal. But it did get my attention.

When are you planning to go next?

PS: Stuff the 3000 Baht joiner fee - that has got to be a world record.

Glad you had lots of choice there. On the bus to Pattaya from Bangkok I teamed up with a doctor from Ireland doing the scene [do you know where YOUR doctor goes on holidays?] He said the best girls get taken away long long time during the Jan holidays, but there still was lots of choice. We hit as many bars as we could one night with me drinking orange juice and he was on beers. The last bar we went to, we met up with a BG who turned me down previously. [the staff say I turned her down] Anyways she liked the doctor and started riding him up and down while massaging his crotch. Then she did the same massage to me at the same time, probably saying thanks for bringing my friend. At that seforum.xxxe the Kitten club was opening up, and I was off to see a cute 18 year old with some nude pictures I had taken a previous night. You come to these places you don't have to plan anything-it happens for you!
