Massage Addiction has customers hooked on relaxation

After opening Massage Addiction on SH 321 between Cleveland and Tarkington nearly one year ago, Stephanie Gaddy couldn’t be happier to help relax away the stress of local residents.
“I love it. To me, it’s like nursing – you’re helping people,†she explained.
Walking away after an hour-long Swedish massage leaves some customers dreading the drive home after experiencing the total relaxation and stress relief of a massage. Men and women usually find their way back to Massage Addiction and become regular customers.
“Massage therapy helps circulation. The majority of the [massage] time is spent on the back,†she said.
It’s not uncommon for some visitors to feel unsure of what to expect during a massage, especially if it is their first visit.
“Undress to your level of comfort. You’re always covered,†said Gaddy.
The dimly lit setting provides a soothing atmosphere perfect for forgetting about the cares of the world. Gaddy also maintains sanitation as a high priority. She washes her hands before and after each massage, as well as changes the sheets for each customer and wipes down the room.
“It’s beneficial for babies, toddlers [and] all the way up if you’re in good health,†she explained.
Walk-in customers are welcome to stop by the business location, but they may find a sign that says “Massage in progress,†which is why Gaddy suggests it is best to call and schedule an appointment.
Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday by appointment only. Doors are closed every Wednesday and Sunday.
