Massage Attendants & Licensing

Thought I'd throw this out there for discussion.

To work in a MP in Edmonton the gal must hold a valid license issued by the City. More than one time I've read that a gal leaving a studio needs to get her license updated to reflect that she is at a new studio. Which means, (I believe) that the license in effect is only valid for one studio at a time. Given that this is the case, (is it? I am 99.99% sure it is) aren't all the gals AND studios risking fines from bylaw for having unlicensed gals working in their studio?

A girl can hold a license in more than one studio, but usually the studio owners won't allow them to work at other studios. The notable exception at this time is 50st, Legends, and Platinum Club which are all owned by the same person, who is also friendly with Alyson at Temptations, so you will occasionally see girls moving between these studios. Regardless, a lady must have a license on location for the studio they are in, otherwise there are most definately fines coming... if bylaw happens to stop by at that time!

Thanks for the clarification Noddy. Does that mean they have to pay 3 times (in the case of Plat/Legen/50)?

if a girl has a massage practioners licence, she can work at as many places she wants under one licence and only needs to be on the staff list. If she has a reflex licence, she must have one for each studio and pay for each one that she works at.
