Massage Course - home study

I am looking to start a home study massage course. Has anyone heard of BSY? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Hi malthg - suggest that you have a look at some of the previous posts about this course. Having been in the business for a number of years, I would have to say that there is very little you can learn about a hands-on therapy by post or email. Is there anyway you could do a basic body massage at a local FE college? There are hundreds of colleges around the country offering this form of training. PLEASE don't part with your money to pay for a BSY course. I did, unfortunately, believing that I would then be fully qualified to practice as a massage therapist. However, no potential employer would touch me with a barge pole once I told them I was qualified through BSY, and I also could not get industry recognised insurance OR become a member of a governing body.

I have since qualified with VTCT at a local college, got insurance with no problems, and am a member of an internationally recognised governing body. I am still so angry with BSY for lying to me and making out that their courses are better than any you would encounter at a college. I got roughly 6 hours practical hands on training through BSY - I got over 150 hours with my VTCT course. There is no contest.
