Massage Oil Reviews

I am almost thinking it would be cool to start a "review" section of this site, as several topics as of late have started about it. Like with a thread for each individual product, and then each post in the thread could be by a person who has used that product, saying their piece.

Anyway, I am interested in reviews of Soothing Touch massage oils, in particular, those that are scented. I have been using the Fragrance Free Lite version (and extolling the virtues on several threads) but I am interested in what the various different scents smell like, and how much ya'll like them, for whoever uses them.

Including: Muscle Comfort, Sports, Oriental, Therapeutic, Coconut Vanilla and there may be more, but I'm not sure of all the names.

And I'm also opening this thread up to any other reviews of any other massage oils you have used. I know there are reviews spread about, but I thought it would be nice to have a central location. If you review something, please Bold or Underline the name of the product, for ease of reading.

I have used Muscle Comfort and I liked it. So did my clients. I liked the smell and the glide was nice.

The very first oil we were given in school was Soothing Touch Lavender scented. It is basically the same as the unfragranced, except with scent added. I like it, the clients like it, but it is a little strong scented.
currently, I'm using the fragrance free like you, only adding some essential oils for scent when I feel like it. That way I can make the scent just as strong as I like. good stuff though, nice glid.

We have Bon Vitale oil at work, not sure which one but I don't like it at all. it feels watery. As if water is one of the ingredients or something, it's weird. and horrible glide. not good.

Ok all,
Today I a product from Soothing Touch called Versa Creme. I really liked it! It is a VERY stiff, very light weight cream. It reminds me of whipped cream cheese with the density, but much more stiff (if that makes sense?). It has a very faint smell of Eucalyptus which I like, it's refreshing. It takes a little more manipulation to emulsify than other creams I have used, but the workability is wonderful. I applied the creme on the back in broad swedish strokes, and worked in focused areas with little re-application.
The product is paraben free, made in the USA, does not test on animals and bosts that it is "nonionic."
"Being nonionic the skin's own acid mantel is both preserved and encouraged to enhance youthful skin "respiration." Because the creme is nonionic it is an ideal carrier for desirable ingredients such as herbal extracts."
"A nonionic creme is neither acid nor alkaline. It is protectivly neutral. Therevore, pH sensitive additives are not compromised by aneforum.xxxonistic, hostile environments that negate the value and benifits for the skin."

Overall I really liked this product! This product came with some others I haven't had the chance to try yet, and a catalog with all of their other products as well. I only wish they had sent more samples!

Thanks PremoMT! I also just noticed on AngEngland's sig that she has a whole site dedicated to Massage Product Reviews, which really seems to be what we're after! I haven't posted anything there yet, but I hope to soon and I think it'd be great to support one of our members by doing something we already want to be doing!

I just got my order of Organic Emu Massage Lotion (Thought I was ordering emu oil, but got lotion instead oops!) from Universal Co.
The reason I got this product was that I have been hearing that Emu Oil is really good for people with problem skin (acne, rosecia, eczema etc..) and I wanted to give my clients with problem skin something more.
I wish I had gotten the oil, but the lotion works well. I don't think it could work by itself, but I have used it with another oil, and a different cream, and it blends well.
There is a fragrance added that I am not too fond of, but it is pleasent.
It was expensive 8$ for 8oz. I do like it though, and I will get the oil next time if I can.
I am going to let my mother and fiance use this also, as they have eczma. I'd like to see if it makes a difference.
