Ali Alavian
A 65-year-old massage therapist from Garland got a 10-year prison sentence for the attempted sexual assault of a woman who had booked his services.
Three other women also testified against Ali Alavian during the punishment phase of the trial.
โThis man violated four different women on his massage table, which should have been a place of safety, rest, and rejuvenation,โ said Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis in a press release. โInstead, this predator turned his massage table into his own personal playground.โ
The crime happened in the part of Dallas that is in Collin County.
A woman had had one massage with Alavian in December 2013 and decided to book him again in January 2014 because he had been professional. But she testified that towards the end of the massage, Alavian turned her on her back, molested her and attempted to sexually assault her.
The woman told the jury that she was afraid Alavian would become violent if he screamed or fought back. Before she left, Alavian tried to kiss her and gave her his personal phone number.
The woman contacted Dallas police, who found similar complaints by other women.
โDuring a police interview, Alavian indicated that he believed that the women he massaged would become aroused by his touch, and that his massage room was similar to Vegas โ in that what happened in there stayed in there,โ reads a press release from the Collin County DAโs office.
Prosecutors found that Alavian found jobs at three separate massage therapy businesses despite womenโs complaints.
