If teachers at Saranac Lake High School seemed a bit looser on Wednesday, that’s because they were here, getting massages from North Country Community College massage therapy students. The students got literal hands-on experience by sharing their growing skills with SLHS staff. Here, Kelly Champagne gives special edication teacher Stacie Beccaria some back relief. “It is nice to be in the community doing this,” NCCC student Lia Hoover said. “Giving back to the teachers who so clearly need it has just been rewarding.” The students said they heard teachers let out a collective “ahhhh” when they finished up. “You can see the relaxation in their face and in their body,” NCCC student Christopher Payne said.
